Hey, I tried to play this game in windows mode, and i moved it to my sub screen
And the graphics doesn't get updated, constantly stuck on the frame it was on when on the main Display
Currently running:
Windows Xp
8800gt 512mb
Core2 Duo
4gb ram

Main Display is a 22 inch TV and sub screen is a 17 inch monitor
Configured in DualView Mode

Is it the design limitation of my pc or of the game?
I can run other games and even watch movies on my sub screen

I will be happy to provide addition information regarding my graphic settings

Further Information

Ok so on further testing,

Dualview is display1 + display2,

Doesn't matter display 1 or display 2 is primary
the second display will always be unable to receive graphic updates from the game.

Meaning if its configured to be
Display1 + Display2
Display 2 will not be able to show the game
Display 2 + Display 1
then Display 1 will not be able to show the game.

Can anyone shed any light on this issue?

This thread looks similar to your problem, but it's not exactly the same:

I'm sorry, this just isn't a well documented issue.

Read that thread

Yea i read his thread and used it as a clue to do my further testings, but thats not the solution i want,

my game just doesn't go graphic updates on the display that the gfx card considers the second display, as per the setting.
I need it to be there, i can't change the settings cause that would change the orientation of the displays

The second display is always on the right,
The second display does not have my task bar or icons

In a sense, i wanna watch the game while i work on my main display

Works for me.

I'm running windows 7 with the latest NVIDIA Drivers and it works fine for me in dual view mode. Do you have the latest drivers?

I have some experience with

I have some experience with dual monitors under Linux, but never ran into this problem with Spiral Knights (happily dragging it from one screen to the other).

When you start up SK, does it open on your primary display? Is there a possibility for you to make it launch directly on the secondary display instead of dragging it there? Like putting a shortcut to SK on that desktop, does the trick on some systems. It might help.

@perzquixle @Kaybol

My drivers are even newer then the ones available from nVidia directly.

And i tried to launch it at the sub moniter, no dice

i am not running windows 7, but I tried it at my sch, running windows XP with some quadro card thats newer then my 8800gt, it works fine there,
The only other difference between my sch and my home is the size of the 2 moniters.
In sch the 2 screens i used are of the same make, model and size.
However at home, ones a 22inch samsung tv display, connected with a DVI cable, the other is an older 17 inch philips connected with a VGA cable, and plugged into a DVI slot using an adaptor.

SO its either i need a new screen or a new GPU, either way, both seem about ready for an upgrade.
