So as a long time player I have amassed a fairly larger library of recipes......
To that end, the idea of a bound recipe as a reward is not that enticing.
Further the idea that the resale value at a vendor is only 50cr is a little shy of the value.
Not whining or complaining, just make a comment on how much value OOO has put on long time p2p'ers.

Think of it this way, you paid a premium to access it faster than the people who got it for free.
That's a risk that happens when you play a game that still gets regular updates, patches, and expansions.
How do you think WoW players felt when the Burning Crusade patch meant grinding was reduced for all new players?
The same thing happened to me in Phantasy Star Universe, too.
I just NPC'd a bunch of my bound recipes today and didn't think anything of it. I have my items already with max heat and even with some UVs on 'em, long before this patch. My reward, as a long-time P2Per, is having worked for this myself, and the enjoyment in getting there already. :3
