This is just a small fiction I decided to write 1) because Tev gifted the expansion to me and 2) I'm trying to get better at writing so I can make The Kradel even better. Now, if you don't have enough time to read Chapter One, heres a little blurb:

A distressed Vanguard leads a newbie squad who deems him untrustworthy, and dangerous to be around. But they must all make sacrifices, because when the siege camp is overrun, Iota Nine is the only squad capable of destroying the Grand Arsenal and putting a stop to Warmaster Seerus' plans.

As Frostrex walked into the gigantic red mission control room, he saw Knights running about, in all directions. He could see some Recons briefing the others on the mission. The commander looked up as he aproached. "Ahh.. Vanguard Frostrex?"
"Yes, commander," Frostrex saluted.
"Okay, well listen up. Lieutenant Feron has chosen you, specifically, to lead Special Squad Iota Nine into the Grand Arsenal and take down all defenses and bunkers. There are more details when you get to Feron, but right now, the question is whether you accept this mission. Do you?"
"Yes, commander."

The Vanguard quickly and purposefully strode from the lift. He saw Feron and Feron saw him.
"Sir." Another salute.
"At ease," Feron said, in his loud, gruff voice. He also saluted. When they were both finished with the military stuff, Frost said, "So, sir, what exactly is the main plan?"
"Your squad will move through the defenses, killing anything that dares to stand in your way. I don't know why anything would."
The tales of Frostrex's actions at the Chimera Plant, saving Vot somehow, at the Gates of Zos, for reasons he dare not say, and the Campaign against the Followers of Zos. Of course, alot of the legends were far-fetched. And they weren't good tales. They did not match what happened at all. He didn't really listen to what people said about him. Vot was the hero, he was just a deadly sword. But a little less ever since BlizzardHale and Furzor fell into blackness. At least, BlizzardHale did. Furzor turned black.

"You listening?" Ferons deep voice woke him from his reverie. "Uhh, yessir."
"I hope so. If you mess this up, I don't know what'll happen."
"Don't worry, sir. I'll be fine.
"Good. Now, when you encounter bunkers, and trust me, you will," Frostrex guessed he'd already been in, "I want you to destroy them. That is what your bomber is for. I need you to get to the artillery guns, and take them out. You got me?"
"Following, sir..."
"Then get further in, and hold a position here," he pointed to a map on the table.
"How did you get these?"
"Many good men, Vanguard, many good men..."
That was good to know. No, really.
"Yes, sir."
"Now, hold that position until the second strike squads get through. If you leave some Grems alive, it might take them a little longer. And try to clean up a little of the barbed wire."
"Copy, sir."
"Now, you ready to meet your squad? Fresh outta training," Feron had a gigantic grin on his face.
"Wut?" Frostrex just blinked.

"Who's our leader for this mission?"
"You mean killing fest, right?"
"What?"
"It's a killing fest. I don't think there'll be any strategy," said the squad's bomber, Soldier Rotrian.
"I'm pretty sure we're going bunker bustin', and destroying the artillery. That means, Rotrian, that the squad leader needs you," Knight Ram, second in command, told the eager bomber.
"I'll be sending you reports from behind the lines, anyway. Couldn't I just pick them off?" Recon Knight, Squire Jensen said.
"No, you can't," said Frostrex, Lieutenant Feron behind him.
"You've got to be kidding me... Frostrex? You're putting us under the command of Frostrex?", Zire, Squire Guardian, looked on with a dumbfounded look on his face.
Striker Soldier Reddich said, "So, isn't that a good thing? I've not heard anything bad..."
Mase, Soldier Comms Operator, shot Reddich a look. "I'll tell you later..."
Frostrex saw him, but didn't do a thing. He knew why they we're talking about him like that. He knew what he'd done. No, it wasn't his fault... "Back to the real world, Vanguard?" He should've stopped doing that. "Sir, I just came up with this, but why don't we hold the siege? Starve them out?", said Jen.
"You weren't the first. Unfortunately, we don't have enough Knights to properly hold this area. And I want to avenge those who fell..."
"Sir, may I brief my squad properly?"
"Yes, you may..."
Feron walked back to the planning table. "Look, I know some of you know what happened, but the past is the past. We need to focus on the present."
"What, so you can abandon us too? Leave us to die?", questioned Mase.
"You don't understand, it wasn't my choi-"
"That's what they all say!", shouted Zire. A few Knights looked their way, eyebrows raised. "Move along," Frostrex told them.
"Now, you don't think I spend every single minute, of every single day, of every single month, thinking about what I did? And, anyway, I didn't do it..."
"Just shut up, and lead." Zire was acting tough. Like a True Guardian.
"Just because you're in almost untouchable armour doesn't mean you're untouchable... Keep that in mind." Frostrex was very, very angry. "Guardians...", he shook his head.

Iota Nine walked quickly to the defenses, checking their gear. Frost drew his Leviathan Blade, the custom silver blade shining, and pulled his Ironmight Plate shield from his back, hauling the larger customized body in front of him. His team looked at him.
"Nervous already?", he asked them.
"Shut up...", Zire said angrily.
"Jeez..."
Iota Nine waited for Feron to give the signal... three, two... one... They ran in, with only Zire and Frostrex shields first.

Once they'd moved the jacks out of the way, the fought their way up to the first barricade, blocking the shots from the Gunpuppies and the flying hammers from the Gremlins. While this was going on, Frostrex watched everything his team was doing, checking if he could help them with their fighting styles. He blocked another hammer, and looked at Zire. He was staying at the front of the squad, stepping between them, blocking for Jen, then moving to Reddich, back to Jen.
"Zire, support Rotrian and Ram more, Jen's a Recon and Reddich, a Striker! They're harder to support and can defend themselves!
"Argh.. Copy, sir..."
Huh, Frost thought. He actually listened.
He turned to Jen as Zire rushed over to Rotrian and Ram bunkered down behind some sandbags. Jen was standing on the roof of one of the bunkers and sniping some Gremlins with her Blaster, while Reddich was taking out the Gremlins coming from within the bunker.
"Reddich, charge into the crowd and take out the ones with the launchers! Jen, use your recon abilities and get to a higher vantage point!"
He turned to Rotrian, who was tossing bombs into crowd. "She's supposed to be taking out the damn bunkers. What is she doing?
Rotrian!"
"What?"
"Take out those bunkers!"
"Copy!"
"Ram, with me. Zire, fortify this position, and support Mase!"
"Whatev-"
BOOOOOOOM!
"What the hell?!", Ram yelled, ears ringing.
"Sorry!" Rotrian.
"Warn us next time...", Mase told her.
"Okay, you got about three seconds to cover your ears."
BOOOOOOOM!
"Dear god," Ram said.
"That's all?", Frostrex asked. He didn't want anyone going deaf.
"Yessir. That is all."
"Good. We'll try and move further in. Mase, Zire, stay back and try to get rid of this wire and all the jacks, okay?"
"Copy, I guess," said Mase.

"Vanguard, I've set up a few bombs to get us into the guns facility," Rotrian told Frostrex, who was looking around a wall for some reason. "No need, I've got us another way, much more quiet," he said. They saw what he was looking up at. A vent. "Rotrian, pack up your bombs, you'll need them for later. We're going in."

"Ram, move up further," Jen complained. "You got your damn shield in my face."
"Well, sorry you can't afford a Defender like mine," he retorted.
"That's not what I was saying, and my Defender's fine," she added.
"Quit it, you two, you want to be heard and cornered in here?", Frost quietly yelled.
"I know I don't," Reddich complained.
"Everyone, just shut up... I'm trying to listen..."
Frost could here voices below him, "Seerus, sir, we've been pushed back by the Knights," a Gremlin said.
"How many?", the Warmaster boomed.
"Seven, sir..." It was as if he was expecting something bad.
"Are you serious?! Seven lousy Knights?! You're got kidding me!"
The Mender was almost blown to the ground from the shockwave of the massive Gremlin's voice.
"Sir, I've just been told we've located two Knights just outside the guns facility."
Oh no, Frostrex thought. Must be Zire and Mase... Think Frost, think!
"Good, try and take them in, and if you fail this, it will be your last assignment. Do you understand me?"
"Yessir, Graydi out." He walked off, barking commands at other Gremlins.
"Seerus out..." Too ominous. The image of the Warmaster looked as if it had spotted Frostrex. He shook the thought off. "Come on."

"This is ridiculous. We coulda blown our way in, but we go for cramped and claustrophobic?", Rotrian snapped.
"Don't question my method," Frost turned around. "Jen, I'll move to this side vent and Ram'll move to the one beside him,"
"And? Why do I need to know this?"
"Because your going ahead, and doing your job."
"Yay, finally," Jen jumped with joy. At least, she tried to.
"Idiot."
"Shut up."
Jen moved to the front and moved the vent out of the way, cloaking as she did so. "Better have my back..."

"I think I know why he put us with the crappy job," Zire told Mase.
"And-UGH-why's that?" Mase asked, carrying a bundle of barbed wire over to their fortification.
"Because we're the ones who hate him the most."
"Probably."
"Why don't we just sabotage the bunker?"
"Because that would be taking it too far and would probably end up killing the ones we actually don't want dead."
"Whatever..."
The bunker they were building was a repurposed Gremlin shelter that they'd cleared out a few minutes before and were now fortifying so the siege camp could be moved up and still be protected from Gremlin Thwackers and Gun Puppies.
"You done on your end?!" Zire shouted across to Mase.
"Yeah!" He said as he just finished off placing the barbed wire next to him.
"Guess we just wait?"

Chapter One, Part Two

You'll be Pleadin'...

"Doesn't seem like anything going, strangely clear. Bad sign?" Jen reported through her comlink.
"Shouldn't be, Red, move up and cover Ram. Rotrian, cover the back and plant a bomb on this vent to my right."
"Why?"
"Don't question me, just do it. Mase, contact Feron and tell him to start rounding up troops."
"Copy, sir."
"Rotrian, finished with the bomb?"
"Yessir."
"Good, let's move."
"Copy."
The four of them crept out of the vent, "Scout ahead, Jen."
"Roger, sir."
"Ram, your with Jen, on guard duty, tell us if anyone's coming, got it?"
"Got it, sir."
The trio stepped around the corner, and saw before them a gigantic artillery cannon, firing every five seconds, shells pumping out. "First one."
But it was guarded by three Thwackers, with a Mender supporting, and a heavy-duty Demo, armd with a plate shield and missle launcher.
"Okay, Rotrian, Ineed you to just run right next to the cannon, and plant your bombs there, Red and I'll cover your flanks, copy?"
"Coyp, sir."
"Okay, go!"
Rotrian rushed out of the corner and made a bee-line for the cannon, while Frost was batting Grems away with his Leviathan. Red dashed up to the heavy and sank his sword into the unfortnate Demo with his Spur, then leaping off with a fantastic flip as the foe died before hitting the ground. His Dusker coat whipped around. Meanwhile, the Thwacker Frost was fighting was never going to give up. He kept at throwing strikes with his Thwack hammer, the Vanguard deflecting them easily with his large sword. The Gremlin would not lose heart. "What's so important about this gun that you want to protaect it so much?"
Frost asked as he swung the sword down. Hard. It hit the Thwacker, but he would still not give up. "Leave! Leave now!," it hissed. "What the hell?"
"Bombs planted, sir."
"Copy that," he saud as he slashed, and as the Thwacker countered, he quickly shot the blade upwards, impaling the Gremlin's brain. It slid off his sword. "Why were you so defiant?
'Sir, we should get out of the blast rdaius," Rotrian said, shooting a Thwacker in the back with her Blaster.
"Good idea," Red commented.
"Let's go, then!"
As they cleared the area, a gigantic explosion of blue, red and white lit up the entire section. The cannon was offline. More or less destroyed.

Ram and Jen rounded a corner... And were met with a launcher to the face, "What do you suggest?"
"What? Figure it out yourself, I'm going dark." Jen disappeared.
"Thanks," Ram ran right into the crowd, sidestepping the launcher Grem and making a quick sideslash at a mender beside him, it's guts pouring out as he made a forward thrust at the Darkfang* Thwacker in front of him, driving his Ascended Calibur's blade into its chest. It didn't have time to block the sword with its shield. While Ram was fighting, Jen was clambering up a wall to get a good vantage point. 'It looks like the whole force here is trying to kill you..."
"Tell me something I don't know!", he replied into his comlink, as he was bringing his sword in a forward arc, the tip plunging into a launcher's head.
"That there are four cannons here,"
"Explains the resistance."
Jen fired off a full clip and proceeded to the cannons. She had a small arsenal of bombs if the need arose, so she knew that if Ram held off the attackers, she could take these out herself. Prove herself to Zire. Ram would be able to hold them off though. He was given the name because he'd customized his Cobalt helm with a ram's horns, even going as far to use them as weapons.
"Will you wake up and plant the damn bombs?"
"Yessir!" Jeez.

Ram was having a difficult time enough without Jensen going into reverie. "Hurry up!"
"I can't go any faster!"
"Yes you can!"
Ram had just finished pulling his sword from the skull of a Gremlin Lighter, as a goddman Mender whack him in the back of the knee in a last ditch attempt to protect the cannons. He responded with a swift arcing motion that tore through the furry neck and ended up caught in the bone. He tugged the sword out and hit again , this time severing the link between the body and the brain. "Little friggin' dog!"

"Ram, we have to go now!", Jen said, running up to him. "Five seconds!"
"Copy that..." Ram limped out, leaning on Jen for support. "Thanks."
White light. And a big boom.

"The hell was that?", Rotrian looked toward the explosion.
"Sorry."
"Jen, dammit, stole my kill!" She looked angry but then smiled. She'd always been like a big, loving sister to Jen.
"Still in training, give me a break!" Jen laughed.
"Guys, mission?" Red reminded them.
"Yes, Reddich, we know!" They said in unison and then burst into laughter.
Frostrex looked on, and saw him and Vot in the old days. Shake it off, shake it off..., he thought.
"C'mon guys, let's go," he told them. "Let's go."
"Jeez, calm down," Red told him. "They're just having fun."
"Yeah," Frostrex said. "Fun."

Mase and Zire we're playing poker, and Zire was winning. Another win. "Gimme all your Crowns!"
"I got nothin', you took it all!"
"Oh, yeah, that's right."
They'd found the cards in the bunker they'd blown up, somehow still in shape.
"Well, since you have nothing, then I get to keep the cards."
"Oh, come on! I found 'em!"
"I won them."
"I didn't agree to it!"
Zire's comlink beeped. "Zire, watch out. You may be attacked by some Grems. They've spotted you."
"But we're sitting in the bunker. How could they see us, sir?"
"While you were setting it up?"
"Damn."
"Just hold out if any come through. We just gotta finish up here. One cannon to go."
"Copy."
"Frostrex, out." The comlink crackled.
"Oh, damn."

SKEZALLL!!

"What the 'ell?"
Mase fell out of his chair.
"Mase, get up. Here's your sword." He handed Mase his Brandish. "Thanks."
Zire hauled his Troika over his should and it clattered against his Boosted Plate Mail. He flipped down the visor to his Boosted Plate Helm.
"Oh, dear god."
A mass of Darkfang Thwackers charged at them, a cloud of dust kicked up behind them.
"This. Is. Bad."
"Why couldn't it be Tenderfoots..."
Zire brought up his Troika and slammed it into the Darkfang as it lifted up it's shield.
The sword jammed into the shield and prevented Zire from killing. He lifted his Troika and slammed the Darkfang into a wall, killing it and dislodging the shield from the end of the stone sword. Mase was almost overrun by the sheer numbers. He hacked at the Gremlins with his Brandish. The thick sword let out a line of white explosions, blasting the mix of Thwackers* back. The explosions weren't lethal, but they were enough to stun them. Mase looked over behind Zire, and could feel the sweat running down the back of his neck. More Thwackers, joined by a launcher and a couple of Menders. How were they going to hold out. The Thwackers Mase had taken down were now gaining their bearings. Surrounded. Thwackers on either side. "Oh, no..."
"Mase, let's move up!"
"Uuh, the bunker?!"
"I think our lives are alot more important than a goddamn bunker!"
They began to move up, the Thwackers closing in on them. "Hurry..."
And the two of them would've got away if it wasn't for the wall of fire.
"Oh, brilliant..."

"You're kidding, w-we have to destroy that?" Reddich turned to his team.
"Yep, look's like it."
In front of them, a few feet away, was a Battlepod. It seemed to be connected to the gigantic cannon behind it.
"Couldn't we just open it up and kill the Grems inside*?"
"You gotta learn to look at your surroundings... You see what's over there?"
Several Gun Puppies were guarding it, accompanied by several Knockers and Lighters.
"Oh, well I can," Jen told Frost. "Easy."
"It's not the safest..."
"But it's the easiest." She was not going to budge.
"Jen, sometimes the hardest way is better."
"Whatevs. I'm going."
He'd lost it. All his anger. Kiri had left the Band, Vot was dead, he'd been titled Traitor of the Order, he was constantly being ignored by his new squad because they thought they knew everything just because they'd finished training. Training is not what prepares you. What prepares you is the battlefield. It never does anything nice for you. It takes your friends, your family. It takes away oppurtunies, what could have been. It takes and takes and never gives. The only thing it would ever give you would be pain and hatred, make you independent and dangerous. Make you a warrior.
"Jen, I'm going to tell you again, and it will be the IlastI time. You are InotI going out there alone. Understand me?" Frost said in a low, threatening tone.
"Yes, sir..."
"Good, now here's what we do..."

They were just setting out when Zire called through, "Sir, we've been cornered into a wall of fire."
"Wut? A wall of fire?"
"Yessir..."
"I'm sending Red now."
"Red? You sure?"
"He's the fastest. Why?"
"I don't think his Swiftstrike is gonna be enough to hold off the hammers..."
"Don't worry, he knows how to handle it."
"Yessir."
He signed off and turned to Red, "I need you to head back to Zire and Mase, they're having..." Best way to put it, "... difficulties."
"Yes, sir, but..."
"It's fine, Red. We'll cope."
He dashed off. "I hope...", Frost said under his breath.

"Okay, the plan has some minor, okay, major changes. Since we don't have Red, we'll need a different strategy. Rotrian, set your bombs to sticky and throw them at the Pups. Jen, I need you to cloak and take out the Lighters and the Knockers. I'll head for the Battlepod, and try to destroy it. After you two are done, I might need help. You got me?"
"Yessir," they said in unison.
"Good, now, let's go!"
The trio jumped over the low wall they'd planned behind. Rotrian charged her first bomb, a Nironome and chucked it at a Gun Puppy, the closest one. It blew up in a shower of sparks and flames. Nuts and bolts flew. She turned and launched another Nitronome. Boom. A Knocker turned to her and charged his wands. She quickly whipped up her blaster and fired off a round, smashing the charged wands. The wands were so full of energy, they were unstable, they exploded. The Knocker's face was almost burnt off. It fell back and began to cry out. "Oh, I can't not feel bad!"
"Rotrian, focus!"
Jen had already taken out many Knockers. Knocked them out, anyway. They hard to kill and, like Rotrian had said, you just had to feel bad. Frostrex seemed to have no remorse. He was just fine with butchering them. Jen looked over at a dead one, and realized it was severed in half. She almost vomited. "Uh... Sir? Really necessary?"
"Sorry, Jen. They walked into my sword..."
Frost laughed. He was nearing the Pod. Maybe Jen was right. Maybe he could go inside and kill the Grems. But he couldn't decide. The shield went down and he quickly flipped up a piece of metal, jamming it in the gap to stop it from closing. "Guys, when you're finished, I could use some help."
"Yeah..."
Frost leapt into the machine and spun as he did so. But it opened up it's guns and fired at him, point blank. Luckily, his shield was in front at the time. It blocked the shot, but blasted him to the ground. He saw stars. A figure shot past and smashed a Thwacker in the face. Another was standing in front of a Knight who was firing off rounds from a Super Blaster. He had a large object attached to his back. "Sir, gettup."
"Wah?"
"Get up?"
Frostrex shakily stood and saw Zire's face. "Not happening again!"
"Whatever. Who'd you find us?" Frostrex's ears felt like the had bell towers in them. Millions of bell towers.
"At that wall of fire, we found this elevator that went straight here."
Rotrian cut in. "Sir, the Pod's been ravaged, it's gonna go up."
Frost looked to his left, and saw a path that seemed to be an assembly line for missiles. It seemed to be halted right now because of the circumstances. "Through there."
"Um, sir the-" Jen was cut off.
"Ahh, crap..."
The lights blew, and Seerus' faces appeared in the darkness.

---Next Chapter---

... While your bleedin'

"You are brilliant foot soldiers, I can see, so I'm going to ask you once," explosion in the distance made what he said menacing, even if he didn't mean so, "politely. Will you join the Great Colony in our fight against your puny Order?"
"You know, insulting us is not going to do you any favours," Reddich remarked cockily.
"Well, since your only other option is death, I thought it might be easier to convince you, but you don't seem to be budging, so..."
"You can forget about it Seerus, we won't turn our backs on the Order."
"Welcome, to your 'Knightmare', I suppose."
The screen, well, screens, blinked and they couldn't see anything but eachother's luminescent eyes.
"What do you suppose that means?"
"I don't know, but we need to get out."
"In pitch blackness?"
A shower of sparks erupted behind them, lighting up the whole room. Then the Battlepod went up in a giant explosion of smoke, fire and flying shrapnel that nearly lodged itself in Mase's eye. "Let's move?"
"Lights on."
"Check." Jen.
"On." Zire.
"Mine's broke." Ram.
"Ow, my eyes." Mase
"Ready." Reddich.
"Yep." Rotrian.
"Let's go, then."

Trying to navigate a dead facility containing active missles and random explosions popping up in the dark wasn't the best fun. Especially when they came across the dead Knights, sawblades in their necks, backs, faces. Mase doubled over, vomited. A Knight leaning against a wall looked up and weakly said, "... they came..." he coughed violently, "the dark."
He coughed up blood and then calmed down. "Watch your backs."
"We'll bring you back with us."
"No need, I'm already dead, good luck."
"Very well, you've done the Order good. Requiescat in pace."
"And sir, kill that bastard Seerus. Semper Fi."
Frostrex nodded and saw the light drain from the fallen soldier's eyes.
The blade nearly fell Rotrian. The lights on Iota Nines helms flicked over a grey-furred figure, whose face was hidden behind a hood. It dissapeared as quick as it had appeared. "The hell is that damn thing?"
"Rotrian, we need to get out of here. If you have the chance, kill one, but you don't need to."
"Fine."
Another blade zoomed past Zire's ear, just clipping his helmet. "Jeez."
"Trust me, I know how it is, Zire," Rotrian remarked, just dodging another that came at her legs.

Finally! Another SMALL Spoiler: Chopper is an upcoming character, Frost's older brother. It is a tribute to my dog, Chopper, the Epic. Enjoy!(I didn't expect him to be looking directly at the camera, he's usually a bit shy!)

Ummmm ... timing?

Mostly because the forum has been busy today and you posted at a time I couldn't comment. XD 'Sides, you faked me out sticking the new chapter in the same post. I started reading from the beginning and was all "Wait ... haven't I already read this part?"

The new chapter is good; you managed to make it nice and gritty without going over the top. It's still a little hard to tell who any given line of dialogue belongs to, though.

I haven't really proof read it.

I really should. It's probably because when you're the writer, you know who's talking and who isn't so I might check it and see what you're talking about. And sorry about posting it in an old post. I might make another thread and send this to the Graveyard. Thank you anyway.

I need to proofread some of my stuff, too. XD

Haha, it's okay ... I just wasn't expecting it. I just saw you had updated and was all excited to read the update. XD

I think a lot of people do that; the dialogue thing. I've seen it in many stories both on this forum and elsewhere.

Chapter Two, Part Two

As the squad carried on, occasionally running into walls or blades running into them. Explosions were going off all around them, so they had to get out of there quick. Then the worst thing that could've happened happened. A rather large shower of sparks went of right next to a supporting beam and a lane of charged rockets. The knights felt the gound shake beneath their feet and the row of explosions that were catching up with them. "Move!" Frostrex pushed Jen, Rotrian and Mase towards the faint glow of an elevator. "Go, go!"
Zire, Red and Frost stayed back as a group of Ghostmanes appeared from the darkness and flung the razor-sharp discs they always seemed to have enough of. A line of shields stopped the barrage, but the blades were imbedded into them. Red and Zire had no problem getting them out, but Frost's were stuck, an ugly scar across the shield as well. the explosions were getting louder and brighter as part of the platform was ripped beneath the squads feet. Red fell and Zire pulled him up as Frost block the shrapnel with his shield. "C'mon, sir! Let's hurry!" Zire shouted. As Frost turned, he saw a gear fly up a smash into the area above. A massive explosion of white and orange pulled down the rest of the Muntitions Area and the elevator shot up, with Frost just clambering on in time.

Feron looked at the sizzling gear with astonishment. "And that came from below us?"
"Yes, sir," the Knight next to him said.
"And that's where Iota Nine is?"
"Correct again," she replied.
"Damn."
The elevator next to him whirred and Frostrex stepped out. "Oh, yeah, that," he said.
"Yes, Frostrex, that."
"What's wrong with it sir?"
"I said destroy the guns, not the whole facility."
"And?"
"I wanted to destroy it."
"Oh, well."
'Now, let's go get further in."

The siege camp was moved to the front gate, the firewall snuffed out.The bunker was populated by Feron and his tacticians. In the left corner was the medical tent, where Knights with burns, lacerations, chunks of skin missing, helmets melted to the face, gunshots, stab wounds, blunt force trauma. Not a pretty sight. In the lower left was the armoury of some basic gear. Setting up in top right were several marksman keeping a close eye on the Grems to make sure they stayed put. The lower right corner was the place for the dead...

"Okay, Vanguard. You know what's next?"
"No, wut?"
"You have to open that there gate for us."

JK!!! Here comes another chapter now!

Chapter Three

"Get the wounded to the tent, and where are those Recon Rangers? Griffin, get me Desna on the line! Lugo, call Iota Nine over here when they're done!"
Feron was high strung at this moment. It'd be a half hour since the guns had been taken out, and iota Nine was taking forever to storm the Gatehouse. Something about Jen suffering from truama after they watched a Knight pass, but of course, no one retrieved his tags. Feron turned to Lugo, "actually, get Vanguard Frostrex over here now, I wanna have a word with him."
Griffin stepped up. "Sir, I have Desna he-"
"SHUT UP! Later, can't you see I'm busy?!"
"Y-y-yes, sir..." She quickly backed down.
"Hey, Feron, calm down there, sir."
Feron spun. "Don't you tell me-" It was Frostrex.
"You're gonna work yourself into the ground, mate. What's the problem?"(If some people don't know, I Aussie, so Frostrex is also Australian-accented)
Feron attempted to take deep breaths, thoughts flurrying throughout his mind, he almost broke down into tears, breathing deeper, but still rapid breathing.
"Just sit down, man, take it easy for a second," Frost looked over him with a concerned look on his face. "I know, you have the lives of every man and woman in this operation on your shoulders..."
"Heh... Don't remind me, please... I'm sorry, I just... So many Knights have lost their lives already, and many more are wounded, and won't be the same, and others are dying down in the Arsenal, I-I just don't know anymore. I've been through so many campaigns, I don't wanna loose anymore people over pointless battles."
"I know." Frost's eyes glowed brighter, with fury. "I know..."

Well, its late, so I'mma stop writing. You may think tis too early for Feron to fall apart, but think about this: he has a very high rank in the Spiral Order, and he has had all this pressure put on him to succeed in destroying Seerus' Arsenal. Think about that.

You should make different themed stories too, i think you would do well in the world of writing. very creative and fluid. :)
