i have bean asking my self why Tree Rings or SEGA are making all These Unnecessarily Changes to this Grate game.... now the Clockworks is useless to play and nothing to gain and what about these missions? are these something that will make this game Grater than it is, or it will take it into its doom! sow many Beta Players Gone and Veterans have left the game because its pointless to play SK now they say.... well i for shore like the old way better it was funner and enjoyable with out these unnecessary missions to do, lets all hope this is something bad... for something Grate to come out to SK. well i hope player dont stop playing this grate game i for shore im not quitting yet! im playing SK since Beta! and i will continue playing it instill it self get destroy or just go offline because of all these darn Lags.
Why all these changes
@Crazy
It's your own fault if you feel the Clockworks have become obsolete, you know. Something only stops being fun if you let it
I've been playing for over a year and have seen a lot of changes, and Missions were a big 'un. thing is though, they aren't as fun second time around. Unless I desperately need a couple Almiran seals right NOW or I don't like the looks of stratum 5, I don't even reenter King of Ashes. I delve into the Clockworks with random parties constantly, mainly because 9 times out of 10, you are going to fill your party before you reach the terminal on any given run. Last time I attempted KoA, I waited 20 minutes or so before I gave up and left for the Clockworks, wasting a couple thousand on preemptive caps and remedies; time I could have been making crowns and mats instead of sitting on my arse.
But if all you do is play to make a profit and pine for the so called "Good ol' days" then good riddance.
@Ztype
Sorry to hear you left and the mini boss idea is an interesting concept, but giving older players completed mission status so they don't have to do them?
That just reeks of "I've been here longer than all of you and therefore deserve everything you work for for free!"
its their job to constantly improve the game and keep the majority of players entertained or interested
it is not part of their job to be perfect in every way, which would be the case, if nobody ever lost interest in the game
I meant players who have already defeated vana.
(" well i for shore like the old way better it was funner and enjoyable with out these unnecessary missions to do" ) i also agree with you on this mission thing. but i have to say that at least what the missions are doing is helping new knights to have direction in there adventure and also giving them free stuff. It also teaches a little how to make things and show them new parts of the game. but what i really don't like is that it constricts the new players to only do those missions and even does not gives veteran knights the credit they deserve for playing the game for so long. it also didn't teach them about some of the things in the game that are useful like the gate map in the arcade . but what i don't like the most is the prestige points, its like they are trying to give us rank besides the armor were wearing like were in the army or something. oh well, i think they just didn't think that far as to find a way to help us and not cage us in this ridiculous missions route. in the end you need great minds to build great games. (not that i'm saying this game is not cool, i love this game)
I've actually left the game because of this (I'm still wondering around the forums from time to time). I have two guilds (one owned by my alt) and a T3 rank to keep me happy, but no. SK is playing the levels in the missions all over again and then fighting vana every day. I may come later. SK has made the mission system to attract new players, so we really can't blame them. They are a small company, but they should make mini-bosses with simply designed monsters (with boss tokens of course) sometimes generated inside the gates so that we still have a goal in trying to get all the boss equipment and defeating the bosses themselves. Or they could make a very hard boss in the expansion missions (but first the expansion missions have to be accessible to f2ps) that keeps us entertained. BUT, before they do anything, they have to make sure old players who have already defeated vana get those mission ranks they already deserve, so we do not have to play all those missions all over again.
