Hello to all crafters!

This is an introduction to a new service for crafters to save a bit of time or cash tracking down materials for their craft. How the service works: You register with the service by Friending Mr_Material in-game, and either tell me on-line or in-game message what materials you want, and what "maximum" price you're looking to pay. I'm constantly scouring the AH for deals on materials and will provide them to you at Cost + 10%. To put it in context, most materials I find and re-sell through the AH I find for less than 50% of what I sell them for, in some cases less than 10% (I.e. Drake Scale, 50cr, Owlite Feathers, 24cr) and I'm scouring for all kinds of deals. (Because I enjoy it!)

What I do: I keep a spreadsheet of what materials people are looking for and their budgets. (plus any special priority orders) I also keep a sheet of all materials I purchase with qty and price obtained. At the start, all transactions are made person to person, either yourself or a proxy. (prior-nominated player/s or guild-mate) After a few trades, we can arrange trades COD through the e-mail system. I do *not* scam people out of materials. If other people want to sell me materials I'll use the reference list from buyers to give the best price to sellers.

When I'm active: Initially I'm online between 20:00-22:00 weekdays and periodically through the weekend. (+10:00 - Australia) So check to see with your guild who is online around the same. I will always be in Haven 1 or 2 periodically when online, but when I'm scanning for deals you'll find me in one of the empty Havens. (Usually 12, 14, or 19)

Who this service is for: Crafters *only*. I'm not scouring deals for re-sellers. Orders like "all the monster bones you can find for 100cr." are automatically ignored. A general rule of thumb is give me orders for qtys you expect to use in a week. (or whatever period we can manage to meet up) I will let you know whether or not I can meet your expectations, and can discuss typical prices/qty I can find. Disclaimer: I'll only be able to support a few "Wolvers", there's only so many Green Shards and MB's I can locate. :D

Special orders: Some materials are a bit too pricey to initially have on-hand, (Maiden's Tears, Mod Calibrators, Gremli... etc.) so orders for these items will initially require a down-payment of 100% (50% or less once we've established a level of trust) and a deadline by when you need it by. If I find it for less than the price you're looking for by the deadline you'll have the item and change in your inbox, otherwise the refund.

I'm scouring for materials all the time, order items take priority but I often find good deals on other stuff. Some if it I re-sell on AH. If you're online while I am and something you ask for I've currently got on AH, I will direct you to which one was mine (by bid/buy price and duration) and I'll refund the difference between the sell price and the normal member price. I use this method to raise funds for more stock.

I had to head out to pick up the family and do some shopping so I had to get that message out pretty quick so reading it again I see the grammar took a dive towards the end.

In any case this is intended to be a service for crafting use, I'll be expecting requests for materials based on the items people are crafting. (Evidence of unbound items may be requested) I have a starting stock of materials that is growing daily (from alts) that is available, but start getting those requests in for who you are, what you're crafting, and your material needs and price allowance. Also, I should note a clarification for special order items: These include recipes, and the commission for special orders is 5% or 500cr per item, whichever is less.

Just an example of stock currently available to service members: (excl. 10%)
Unstable Cores: 260-290/ea
Volcanic Iron: 500-570/ea
Owlite Feathers: 24-40/ea
Monster Bones: 54-90/ea
Bushy Tails: 160-250/ea
Green/Blue Shards: 20-45/ea
Red/Dark Shards: 6-15/ea
Phial of Phear: 25-55/ea

These are the kinds of prices you can find on AH when you're lucky. With this service they are available on demand, but they will depend on demand and how fast I can supply. The higher your price expectation the easier it is for me to negotiate deals but I always strive for the lowest prices.

Well a relatively slow start, but a start!

A few interesting conversations in-game for the first day with this character, and the first official customer! Thank you Culture. It sounds like they will be getting first dibs on some of my stock supply, but I've got plenty of stock for a few crafters pursuing other avenues.

I'm sure that wearing proto gear doesn't belay much into the types of materials I'm providing, but rest assured it will be a fairly extensive range and I'll have the resources to extend it further, plus find deals on special orders.

Bump & clarification.

This service will benefit crafters playing in popular timezones when materials are more hotly contested, or people that look to play on the weekend. I typically play through the week when the AH is fairly quiet so I strive to get good bids in to secure materials as cheaply as possible. I'm also scouring for out-of place buy now bargains.

I've had a few friend requests popping up of late, but it's a bit difficult to weed out the unsolicited random ones from those interested in the service. I would recommend that if you're interested, send me an in-game mail with the materials you're after, the max price you want to pay for each, and qty you're after. We can hook up in-game likely in the weekend for trades or discuss any further orders. If you're after qty the I can arrange that, and will use the margin on easier to find materials to leverage harder to find ones, including talking to online sellers that might accept your expected price; but you will know which ones I find and for how much.
