UV crafting

I think it would be awesome if we could craft in UVs on our own gear.

Examples of how it would go:

To craft a UV, there are what, 6 steps?
Low
medium
high
very high
ultra
max

So you could craft those UVS, but you'd have to pay the cost each step like a normal * rating. So. keeping that in mind, crafting a max would be like 1600 CE or more (2400 ce?)

If you wanted multiple UVs, you'd have to craft the second UV on at double cost, and third one would be triple costs.

Thus, everyone could get the UVs they wanted, and OOO would bank off of a ton of CE spent on UVs (rather than just a CR sink).

Of course, powerful UVs would have HIGH material costs. We're talking either more krogmo stuff, or simply a lot of 3/4/5* mats involved compared to normal items. I'm talking things like CTR and ASI on weapons.

Would it make old krogmo trinkets obsolete? No, simply because those apply to all weapons, and they're only 4/5* crafts, not 1-6* crafts. Also, the could potentially be a lot cheaper coin wise depending on how it's done (like heart trinkets perhaps, only ramped up a bit).

Of course, things like armor UVs, and CTR uvs, would start at higher base costs, so that max is still a 6* craft (So 3/4/5/6* craft costs).

Any ideas? Input? Likes? Rages? Explain below!

Punch already sells UV's, and by what you're saying, a lot cheaper.

Hmmm. Interesting, but then

Hmmm. Interesting, but then those P2P people out there with 50 5* items would end up with every single item having a max uv. It would need to be more balanced.

Kroak, those people can already (well, most already did, lol) keep rolling at punch until they get a max too anwyays.

But the problem is obvious. Right now, rolling UVs is one of the few things end-game players can waste their crown fortune on, along with fancy featured auctions. If you propose this energy alternative system, end-game player wont need much crowns and will stop selling energy for that purpose only to use it on this, affecting the market.

If you'd rather, you could

If you'd rather, you could make it cost CR instead of CE. Just adjust the prices.

Either way, I'd rather we be able to pick our UVS we're going for, even if it's exorbitantly priced in the end. You would save out in the end since you get what UV you want without having to acquire several other UVS of the same power but the wrong kind before you get there. Since I really dislike the randomness that is punch. Oh, I've gotten a share of some maxxes and whatnot out of him to be sure. Just sometimes they're either worthless ones, or simply one that is no benefit to me. But some things I get low after low, often of the exact same UV multiple times in a row, which is a bothersome pain.

Either way, I'd rather have it stable and predictable, instead of completely random.

Maybe he could charge like 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k, 50k, then 60k for each increase. That's 210k for a max UV. That's 10.5 rolls otherwise.

Or you could do:
10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, which is an end cost of 630k spent for a max UV of your choosing. I think this is a bit high though, at 31.5 current rolls. But you can stop at VH on many things for nearly the same effect and still have it reasonably priced for most things.

Just a few suggestions, there could be better pricing options. I just think it would be nice to choose. And I never said you HAD to remove the random either, that could always stick around as well for those who want to try their chances.
