Yep, up to 8k :D

Anyway there has been a LOT of problems recently, based on what I've seen coming up in the forums, within the past few days.
Cmon OOO, fix this update. It wasn't bad to start out, but now there's more piling up than should be ignored. I hope you're all almost done fixing it up back at HQ.

Like they will do anything,

Like they will do anything, they made those changes in game on purpose to make CE price rise. Higher CE price, more chances that new players will spend a $$ on CE packages (since players who play game since some time will still be able to afford it).

First of all, don't click the "Buy 100 Energy" button. Go to the market tab and post buy offers. You get it cheaper that way. Yes, you can wait five minutes for the purchase to happen. And yes, if you set a buy offer, and then log off, it will still go through if someone sells to you.

Second of all, oh my, a business wants people to spend money on its product? What has the world come to? Why can't they just give out stuff for free? What kind of sick person starts a business and designs an MMO to make money? I'm so disgusted, I think I'll post snide comments in every forum topic I can find, rather than, you know, play a different game.

In all honesty, I'd love to see another CE pack. It causes players to buy CE (and they get a little extra if they do), which means more funds to support Three Rings, and it always results in a drop in CE prices, due to the increase in the CE supply.

If you are gonna click buy 100 Energy button you're gonna satisfy the sellers. They get more money, you lose money. Furthermore, that's gonna drive the prices up. I personally don't use it, but I do it when the situation is *dire* (server reboot impending, I'm out of energy and there's still a few levels to go), or maybe when you need to go soon and craft something while your mist is still at 100 and so on.

On a side note, the explorer pack was epic. CE prices dropped to 5.4k, and many took the chance to hoard it. All I can say is, wait for another chance...(like that'll happen)

._. not sure if Eldibs dont

._. not sure if Eldibs dont know that.... or just trolling and he is supporting rise of CE prcie.

Using "Buy 100 Energy" button helps to keep CE prices as they are. By using that you are buying CE from already posted "sell" offers.

Not using "Buy 100 Energy" button and posting buy offers makes CE price go up, since not filled CE "buy" offers are pilling up.

KoA is new mission 9-3 or 9-4

KoA is new mission 9-3 or 9-4 rank? dont remember, one of the last ones. Its King of Ashes, basicaly FSC missions.

The point is that Regular FSC gives you about 6,5-7,5k cr + tokens from D23 to D29, while KoA mission has same amount of floor, same depths, its just like regular FSC but it gives you 11,5k-13,5k cr + tokens

In my experience, any time there's a Power Surge, CE goes down. Less people buy it because they don't need it as much for elevators and the people selling keep making their prices lower in hopes of attracting a buyer.

OMG the CE market!!!

My friends and I was talking about this and how KoA is affecting prices. (Thanks Asukalanforum for the clarification as I haven't actually got there yet but knew there was a FSC mission) (Also, which player *isn't* talking about the CE prices?)

But anyways, we're not sure if SK will fix the payout or anything. The new hall of heroes has pulled a major crown sink from the recipe market and we don't have any big events that are introducing new CE into the market.

If you guys want to check it out, (sorry for the self plug) I have another thread with links to a CE Price market watch or whatever you want to call it.
I finally set one up so people can see a nice graph of how the CE market has been changing.

http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/46879

Also, @Ubernerd
It is weird it goes against the other though as Power surges pull out less CE and introduce more crowns into the market which means more crowns to buy CE which means higher CE prices in the end.

but honestly, regardless of the glorious payout included in KoA missions, be it a bug or not, i wish that missions be playable once every 24h each

on a side note, i was looking forward to playing briar bone barrage, seeing as i havent been tere before!, (found a soul jelly on it :D soul jelly sez: Shield bump is invalid statement XD) and some random noob joined me and he was doin pretty good with his lil firotech honestly. we avenged our fellow pith helm wearing fellow knights, and beat the dreaded SPINY TOXILARGO!!

@Asukalanforum Obviously you

@Asukalanforum

Obviously you don't know how to post buy offers. You are not supposed to just post a better buy offer than everyone else. Post an offer based on what offers are already up. For example, if there are nine buy offers at the top, seven buy offers are for 7000CR, and two buy offers are for 7010CR, put your buy offer between them, and let it sit. Let it sit eight hours if you have to, but check it, and be mindful of market shifts. If someone goes on a CE-selling spree (it happens rather often, particularly if someone is rolling UV's, or trying to win an auction), the first couple offers will go, and yours along with them. I have picked up many thousands of CE off the market this way, without affecting the CE price in the slightest, and getting it for less than the lowest sell offer.

By using the "Buy 100 Energy" button, you are buying the lowest sell offer, which means the next lowest sell offer is even higher. In essence, you quickly remove the lower sell offers, and discourage competition between the sellers. You have to remember, if someone is selling CE, it's because they want the Crowns fast. It's that attitude that causes them to post better sell offers in competition with each other to sell quickly. Competition that doesn't exist if you click the button to immediately purchase the best sell offer.

again

this thread (and seemingly every thread) overlooks how much the 3500 ce supply depot weapons has hurt the low cost of ce. what was one of the big crown sinks in the game? People purchasing 5* gear off of AH (be it clean or amazing UV'd gear--the amazing gear will still be bought). So one huge crown sink was people who were lazy and people with limited time buying 5* gear off AH with crowns. How to get those crowns, buy ce, sell ce buy off AH. Well, now all those people need CE (as well as others) to buy gear for so much cheaper from supply depot (no human player can ever sell you clean 5* gear for anywhere close to 3500 ce without losing a ton. aside from the super rare 5* gear drop).

So an amazingly large percentage of the CE selling, crown sinking population now are almost forced to keep their ce (or even buy it with crowns..instead of vice-versa) and buy these items from the supply depot. I believe this is just as detrimental to the CE market or more so, than what KoA is doing.

just my two cents.

(and to all the economic major's out there. Quit trying to apply real life economic principles to this fictitious game. Economics, as studied in college, has been constructed given the natural and unnatural variables that affect it in our real-life. This in-game economy has a completely different set of external and internal factors, and thus a completely different economic model. its not bad to apply some ideals and common sense across the board. But its so tiring seeing people trying to strictly apply real life economic principles to the game and the pretentiously strutting around thinking they are superior to those to blind to see it. )

who cares. FSC Mission pays

who cares. FSC Mission pays out more. You are earning CE at a faster rate now, then back before the mission was released. If you aren't FSC capable, then yea it sucks, but I imagine most of the people crying here are perfectly capable of FSC.

Old FSC = 8k + tokens. New FSC Mission = 12k + tokens. Until prices break 9kce I don't give a rip. But, I will say I hope they make the FSC mission inline with FSC arcade only because all the other missions are inline with the arcade equivalent.

New players -potential customers- cant reach FSC mission and they will get mad before opening their wallets, then leave.
So yeah, we can handle it, but the player popualtion will never grow.

same ol' dicussion on CE :) :P

Anyway, still got myself about 4k CE left. And nope not selling it.

Honestly I like that the price climbs higher. It'll teach some of those who have raged/whined/complained/made petitions against it in the past to stop with the nonsense. We literally control the market, just pay a few dollars and you can do what you want with it, but people are then against p2pers because its not fair and blah blah blah I dont care I'm still fine off.

I'll be VERY happy if it hits 9k soon. Not only it does the above reason, but it will also show them that the economy WILL fix itself.

Xylka is right to say the P2P players do control the economy and I'm gonna wait out with my energy until the cost hits its peak and sell it all off and buy it back dirt cheap. That's how you make money baby. Stock market style.
