Coatl have you ever been to a Hall of Hero? All the non-boss item recipes can be found there (80% of recipe in the game is there)
It was a sincere question; I haven't played in a year.
The Game's been turned right-side-up and I'm trying to familiarize myself with it.
The 4 things that you should know are:
1. T1 and T2 Lockdown are ruined by P2P only super OP pure elemental swords called rocket hammers.
2. Rank mission 9-4 King of Ashes, the insta FSC, gives 12kcr per run + 3 tokens and is the only thing thats worth running now
3. Recipe and item market are ruined by the introduction of Supply Depot, in which you can buy 5* weapons for 3600CE, and Hall of Hero, which you can find all non-boss reward item recipe.
4. If OOO doesn't fix things up soon, this game will end.
Do you really think disabling hall of heroes would give arcade any real purpose? I don't know anyone without an elevator pass who would commit into the slavery business of basil recipes runs and have fun doing it while not even breaking even from the pure raw crowns.
I believe you can get a few Achievements from Only the Arcade Gates.(Survivor, Mission Accomplished, World of Moorcroft, etc.)
And delving into the clockworks gives you a better chance to possibly (or hardly possible) find a darkfang shield!btw if anybody knows if u can find things like that in missions then tell me.
@ Alynn
Feels like a year.
Where is hall of heroes located?
@Ironskullkid: If Achievements did something, then I would care about that. yeah, getting achievements is nice, but it will become more something that people do when rich and bored, so probably won't boost gate population at all. On the other hand, if I got a bonus based on the number of achievements I had earned, say a small percentage boost on the price wheel of getting good things, then that might be motivation.
@Coatl: When you have completed certain missions, a new level of "Hall of heroes" (HoH) opens up. The only way I know to get in so far is to choose that particular mission and do it. The Hall of Heroes missions cost nothing to do, so basically it's just a new zone you can only get into from the mission interface (as far as I know). Based on your rank, you have access to all recipes in it. So now that I'm cleared for 5* HoH, all 5* recipes that are not boss related (e.g. Faust, Polaris) are in there.

I've gotten 2 equip drops in missions already so yeah, you sure can get a darkfang shield.
@Paweu:ok,thanks.i wasnt sure since ive never had an equipment drop.
but as for another reason to go to the clockworks, youve got to mix it up.after doing the same mission over and over again, its always nice to do some randomized clockwork levels.and besides,if they took out the clockworks, what would we do with our minerals?
Only reason we still have them is for Shadow Lairs, and lo and behold, the missions lead right into them, referencing the swarm quite a lot in the last 5-6 missions.
Also I think I pieced together the puzzle with the final echo stone from UFSC (not just balantly wild guesses). Will make a post on that later.
Rumor or fact, if this happened, I'm sure it'd clear a lot of this noise up right quick.
It would be nice to see the Arcade have a little more purpose.
The gates should be the first thing people would wanna do, over the missions when it comes to making the profit. The gates should be the places where people gather and have garanty to find a team. The missions are a 1 time run anyway. I think there should be secondary and a 1 time run as a sort of single player experience. Something has to be done about this whole issue because really it's ruined the game to a great extent for me. I am sorry but the gates are awfully useless now. They really gotta make them more attractive to get the populations for each gates back to that 300/500 number. The missions should be secondary, not the main attraction.
The recipes in the hall of heroes are also really too much man. I have always supported 3 rings' decisions and sometimes described them as geniuses with great set of minds. Most updates have always made sense to me, even if they never benefited me. But now i'm not really feeling the direction anymore, which is weird because I thought there was a logical, clear vision for the game to be extended with time. But things are changing for the worst and I am starting to feel the same remorse people had earlier on. I mean the remorse for gladly paying for energy, not only because it would benefit me, but supporting the game and it's direction as well. Now I regret doing that so I hope things will change soon...
You guys do realize, that those who don't have HoH access need to do regular clockworks first. My brother was trapped out of the 5* HoH because he didn't have the gear needed to progress. He had all boss token 4* weapons, so he was forced to look for the recipe or pay the AH prices. (If he had non-boss token weapons I would have just jumped in the HoH and grabbed him something).
Anyways, I think the only thing OOO needs to fix is the FSC mission which pays out 15kcr (1k per seal) per trip. Before you only made 8k+3k in tokens and you were lucky if you knew people and could just jump down there. The payout will create inflation, which won't hurt me, but will hurt non FSC capable players.
If they did that, focus would shift back to the gates, which would increase chances of meeting new players. I used to play in PUGs all the time. Now I just play FSC via the mission, and only get random people if I wait in the depot.
I actually do basil runs still, but that is only because I have a pulsar I want to turn into a Polaris and the AH prices are skyrocketing for those recipes.
..., reimburse each Shadow Key holder 1.8k CE (per key holding) and eliminate Shadow Keys from the system. Done.
Shadow Key is a temporary measure. It's time to give people proper (and fair) access to Shadow Lairs.
Next on agenda: eliminate Silver Key in a similar fashion.
You can still enter the HoH if you don't have the appropriate gear yet, you just can't progress through to the elevator to complete the mission and get the Prestige and Crest.
If you get to the mission with the 5-star HoH, you can enter it in 4-star Gear and buy the recipes there, leave and craft the items.
Unless they changed it recently, which doesn't make any sense.
Also, the only recipes you would really need are the ones for boss weapons (DA, GF, Barbarous Thorn Shield and Polaris), since the only other recipes not sold at the HoH suck, to put it lightly.
@shoebox - yea, you are right. However, like I said, he couldn't progress because he needed boss token recipes because they were his only 4* weapons. It would be more expensive to craft up a new weapon from scratch.
I do Clockworks runs for fun. Just as I used to. Premade levels provided by missions are getting boring if done more then once or twice a week.
Personally I've never ever been doing Clockworks run to resell Basil recipes so introduction of HoH doesn't changed much in my case. I've sold recipe on AH once, only because by mistake I've bought one I've already knew.
I don't like the way HoH was introduced, but since I got most recipes I need it's not a game-braking issue for me.
I pity new players though, because recipe hunting was a major fun factor of SK and one of the purpose of guilds existence.
Recently I've bought at HoH Ironmight Shield, Deathshot Mantle and Iron Slug recipes - the ones i need for some 4* items I have levelled up... and I really missed the enjoyment of Basil purchases.
The game had a beta period so some of us have played more than a year, derp.
I heard a rumour that the bosses in the gates will be replaced by new bosses.
Sounds like that would work to me.
