If we could get some shadow or amy THEME gear that could be cool.
Shadow could get shadow type attack and resintance and Amy could have a peircing defense and atack.
Its just an idea.
Also, knights in SP have other things they use for their gear besides iron.

Love your intentions, but...

I sincerely doubt a costume would allow them to change damage type. That would fall under the category of weapons, but that would just complicate the issue...
Point being, I would've pushed for a futuristic weapon/armor set if I wanted to. Hell, I could even come up with the concept art in a day.
But the setting of the game makes it rather inappropriate; I'm afraid. Sure, other games have promotional offers such as Mass Effect 2 (or 3, correct me if I'm wrong) having armor from Dragon Age, but you don't see the character wearing a dragon. Point being, it's promotional.
I respect your decision to love the Sonic franchise. I just don't see the feasibility of it being in-game.
Uh, that was a very short post for a first post.
More importantly, the reason it was METAL Sonic gear not Sonic gear was because the Knights in Spiral Knights happen to be completely clad in iron. There is no Metal Shadow or Metal Amy. The purpose in Spiral Knights is not just to take stuff from other games by the same company. Metal Sonic and Tails' Tails made sense.
If you had really actually taken a minute to think about it, you would have never posted.
