Why yes they do. Quite. The Nightblade was forged in the depths of Sol'Fork and is made from pristine shadow steel, like the Faust. Its designed to unleash blasts of dark energy out in short bursts.

In other words... ITS AWESOME

Depends on what you are swinging at...

If target is Slim or Gremlin (and we are only talking about 3* swords) then yes.

If the target is not Slim or Gremlin then no.

If the target is Fiend or Undead then Heck-no.

piercing, elemental, shadow

Damage type is the primary consideration in choosing a sword. Nightblade/Acheron, being a shadow sword, is really comparable only to other shadow swords (i.e. Faust/Gran Faust). To learn more, consider reading my sword guide and/or the Swordmaster Guide on the wiki.

NOT YET

right now a normal damage sword is a good idea cause of resistances so you will have a hard time on some enemys. if u are not bothered abbout resistance because u have something to kill the resisting monsters then sure

Normal damage is pretty mediocre against everything. Use it only if you insist upon one weapon for taking care of everything.
You should ideally have one weapon of each specialised damage type (piercing, elemental, shadow). Nightblade is a better option than a Faust in some regards, due to its faster speed and the fact that the charge has no risk of causing curse on yourself (making it safe to use without curse resistance or extra weapon slots). So yes, get the Nightblade, because it does a good deal of damage upon shadow-weak and shadow-neutral enemies, but make sure you have an elemental weapon as well (at the very least - adding a piercing weapon as well would be preferable).
