Clearly FSC Mission farming + Elevator Passes is doing number on the CE market. So, instead of saying 'In my day we had to spend 30,000 crowns to get 100CE!' or 'The Free Market will fix it!' let's figure some practical ideas on how to at least stem the idea

1. Put a cap on how many times you can run a mission per day.
Best way to stop the influx of crowns is to cut off the root cause at the knees. Mission farming at the FSC. This was already suggested in another thread, but if you've already completed a particular rank mission. You would be allowed to redo that mission only once a day and by starting it (entering the elevator to the first level) you cannot redo the mission for the rest of that day even if you abort.

2. Create new promotions and re-release old promotions
New promotional items are always good, we had dragon wings, why not angel wings or some something like a mission package which is similar the starter and battle packs?

Now before this thread gets flooded with a monsoon of tears from merchants who are going to complain about how their livelihoods will be ruined if Three Rings re-release the Rose Regalias. No one but you cares. How many clean Black, White, or Red Rose Chapeaus are still on the market and how many people are willing to buy $150 worth of CE to buy it from you? I'll bet your ass that the game would see a nice injection of CE into the market if there was a Return of the Rose Regalias promotion where if one were to buy a $9.95 energy pack, they'd get one of piece from either the Rose Regalia or Rose Regalia Redux sets. Plus it would revive the market and demand for them since you don't have to pay an arm or a leg for them. Coral and Purple aren't included since they're AH exclusives. Selling them exclusively through the AH isn't the best idea since while it's crown sink, with so few in numbers, it would have little impact. As for complaints from merchants believing that Three Rings wouldn't do anything to harm their business under the assumption that it does harm to their CE sales. Guess what the Hall of Heroes and Supply Depot did to people who sold recipes and 5* equipment respectively?

Status quo is not an option, so if you got any other ideas, I welcome them to hear them. And the inevitable hate mongering against me as well.

I really...

Really don't think that anyone will go for re-releasing promos, ESPECIALLY the Rose Regalia sets. They're like a symbol of the most prestigious you can get on an online game. lawl.

How would you like it if you just bought a White Rose Regalia set for 45K CE and the next week they come out again? I foresee a LOT of raging.

New Promos are good, and putting a twice-a-day cap on all missions is a good idea as well, and has been stated several times.

Um... re-releasing

Um... re-releasing promotions? I mean, i would like to get some regalia stuff, but...
Eh, im to tired at the moment to tell you how that is HORRIBLE idea. And i did NOT buy regalia stuff, and i sure WOULD buy it if the promo was still going.

Now, about recipe sellers. Guess what. I searched for kilowatt pulsar recipes. The one with the highest bid was 23,000, there was one with a bid on it for 18,000, one with a bid on it for 15,000, and one with a bid on it for 10,600. Yeah. That much for a boss token upgrade that costs 4,000 from basil. It costs 4,000 from basil, yet their is a bid on one for 23,000. I put my kilowatt recipe up today, bid only, starting bid at 10,000 for 2 days, man am i gonna make A LOT of money off of that. Now, there are a lot of recipes you can't sell anymore because of the HoH besides boss token upgrades, but those were the most popular anyway. And now with missions, almost everyone does FSC, so if you are onE of the very few who goes in the clockworks, if you find a boss toke upgraded, MAN, you've hit it RICH! And i mean, REALLY RICH, now!

Oh, and i would appreciate it if you put a link to my thread that suggested that missions should only be replayable once per day.

I have 4 accounts. I laugh at any idea to restict missions once a day. Everyone can do the same (or even more with some $$$)

It will be a nuissance first, but within a month or two (to decently equip alts), I imagine everyone will do something similar and the farming will resume.

There's no long-term solution but to patch FSC.

@Severage So? Brining CE

@Severage
So? Brining CE inflation under control is more important than someone's feelings. Also once a day cap is better. BUT it only is activated when you complete it for the first time (Where you get the prestige, rewards and rank points)

@Serell
Promotions: Say its a bad idea, but can't say why. Disregarded argument
Recipes: Massive crown earning from missions + asymmetrical information = overpriced goods. Hell, there's a compact supply pack that's going for 2,500 at the AH ATM, and Leviathan recipes were selling for 50k right when after Kozma became the supply depot and before the quick fix was done. It won't last forever.

Edit: Also you make my point with re-releasing promotions, merchants will find a way to survive. I mean look at all those boss token recipes!

Also, to lazy to find the link, or I could invoke the Chinese and say since I improved upon the original idea, I'm allowed to make it my own. Which ever one works for you.

@Juances
Think about what you said Juance, are people really going to set up alt accounts and then spend the time and money on equipment to allow them to do endgame missions to farm FSC? Alt accounts are for rage crafting or buying items from the supply depot. I'd say being an anchor, but that was patched. I strongly doubt a large majority of players would do that.

@Treizeknight : .... You

@Treizeknight : .... You seriously think bringing CE inflation under control is more important than someones feelings?.... Woooow.... Dude, i would sure be ticked if i bought that promo and then they re-released it, and im sure you would to. It's not worth it, dude.
And Juances has a point, i never thought of that before. People will easily make alt accounts and do the missions if they were limited, i know i would.

Oh and yeah... you're allowed to make the idea your own... It's just, you know... um... what is it... nice, to give a link to the person who inspired you?

@Serell "You seriously think

@Serell
"You seriously think bringing CE inflation under control is more important than someones feelings?"
You really think the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many? Wooow.

I wouldn't be angry if they re-release old promos, I don't subscribe to the snowflake theory like a lot of other people here who sink millions of crowns into looking silly with accessories. As long as CE is cheap so I can buy it and craft more armors, I and a large majority of players who like cheap CE will be a happy. If you think a majority of players wouldn't hesitate for a second to trample over someone and their special little hat to see CE prices goes down, you're a damn fool.

@kentard
Noted, but PvP is already a crownsink as is because you need to win three times to make up for a single loss.

Like I suggested on

Like I suggested on Crownsinks, introduce Item Naming, and require 200 crowns to add a name. Let's say 400 to rename. Should be a nice crownsink if every bomber in the game starts putting affectionate (by which I mean related to violent destruction) nametags on their Nitronomes and DBBs, every other player names their Sealed after some JRPG sword (coughFF7busterswordcough), and gunners angrily dub their Pepperbox "Crap".

EDIT: And as for the Rose Regalia debate? Put the "Ancient" tag on Rose Regalia that was around before a CE Promo, if you want the best of both worlds. People will still shell out millions for a nametag while others put more CE in the game.

@Hexzyle

I'd say that was an epic lucky shot XD a really lucky shot in the dark.
But yeah, they do read our threads, that's for sure.

Ontopic:
Three Rings wouldn't be generous enough to create multiple crown sinks (or anything similar) for the sole purpose of lowering inflation's effects, after all, nobody would ever buy CE with IRL money if it was cheap in-game (and they also need to get their salaries somehow).
On the other hand, they wouldn't let it become ridiculously high due to various negative effects. With that said, they are left with one option: keeping the prices at a fair level, and as long as the player base and purchases tend to grow, the current prices will be considered fair enough.
That doesn't mean they don't care, I'm just saying that unless they notice significant changes on their profits, they won't change what they've been doing all along.
