If you notice, they didn't put commas at prestige. Example, the prestige should be 2, 990 not 2990

Because it is only useful and

Because it is only practical on crowns. I like this update to UI, minor but useful in my opinion.

says who? I have over 1kce

says who? I have over 1kce and I've seen plenty of screen shots with people over 10k, so a comma is practical. Prestige will eventually crack 10k for someone (I forget what mine is at).

A comma is a decimal point in French so I'm not too crazy over this bit of the update.
"omg yeah I almost have 1 000 crowns yea - wtf 1,001 crowns?"

commas

* I'll fix prestige commas for the next patch.

* The CE doesn't have commas, because of the way we format the number: there's always a leading 0. I tried it with commas and it was mostly fine unless someone had more than 100,000 CE, when it displayed as "0100,000" which just looked funny.

* Sorry, Saphykun. Yeah, we format numbers with commas in the US style and we did this knowing it would look slightly wrong in some other countries. The problem is that the numbers are sometimes formatted into messages or mails on the server, without knowing which language they will ultimately be read in. So we decided to just standardize on US-style number formatting.

AAH GYRE OMG!!! Dude I remember seeing you posting announcements on Whirled...

Anyway, that's understandable, I know some counties in Europe uses periods to separate numbers and a comma for decimal points, so you can't cater to everyone (especially if it's not feasible code-wise or breaks the game).

We should have commas in the CE like so--0, 100, 000. Then the poor French players can have fractions of a CE! :D

I jest, but I wonder if we could have a space instead of commas? Pretty sure spaces don't mean anything special in terms of number anywhere and it retains the usefulness of the comma, though 0 100 000 looks kind of funny as well.

OOO have gave us European server, so I think I can live with commas. I'm sort of get used to the fact that US folks use them differently then the rest of the world ;-)
