PrntScr....

Yes, you can use print screen... however, you should mention that you will have alt+tab out, then go to paint, Gimp, photoshop, or another image editor , paste the image, and then save it. You will only get one capture per button press, and if you press it twice, you will only be able to save the screenshot for the last button press.

So, yes, print screen button does work, but it's not as easy as "There's this little button called "PrntScr"..."

No offense, Tom-Awsm, but next time a little more detail wouldn't hurt. It's hard enough for new players to get into new games, and computer equipment, without being told that they can do something, but they are not given any details on how to do it.

Steam does make it easy, you can even configure the button to a different one if you want to.

Saphykun: Where is the image placed when you press f12? I'm a steam user, so I don't really care, but the OP might like to know. Thanks.

Thanks Sypsy! Nice to know. If I ever find a screenshot on my desktop, I'll know why. And of course, the OP now knows how it works.

The Steam client also saves

The Steam client also saves it to the desktop if you have the overlay disabled.

Screenshots saved to the desktop by client are also in a high-quality PNG format while Steam takes screenshots in JPGs that have noticeable quality loss.

In game F12 works on a non-steam mac as well, though out of game your process works.
Also, with Shift + Command + 4 you can take a screen shot of a portion of your screen (out of game).
