Well the orbs disappear after a period of time, so you should explode them faster, until they reached their limit :P Due the 3 clip of the gun i prefer to shot shot charge all the way :P

Shields
Are the orbital detonation charges blocked by Mecha Knight Shields? In other words: are the ODCs capable of bypassing Mecha Knight shielding and easily viable for use against them and other targets with Shields (T3 Gremlin Thwackers, Trojans, ...)?

Yes they are blocked by shields like trojan shields and mecha knights shields. Exploding the orb while it orbits in a way that the explosion is on the shielded side does no damage but still causes knockback.
And the orbs are not benefitting from damage bonus currently.
Sad times for the Catalyzers.
why are you tagging every zombie with a charge for 5 min then shoot? you cant chain the explosion if thats what you were thinking....
its faster to charge, shoot, charge shoot...or......charge like 5-6 on 1 zombie and bump that into a crowd and shoot it.
but either way, if you have fun, then its good
