Extra Abilities? Why not?

Now i have seen a few threads with the "Skills" talk. but i have an idea which doent really revolve around charging your weapons.

Here are a few i had in mind:

Dash: It increases your speed for a few seconds, then your knight would start panting for about 3 seconds and continue fighting (Like the Striker module in LD, but without the piece of kit)

Battle Cry: your knight cries out with courage, boosting your attack power for a small period of time.

Guardian's Might: like the Guardian mod in LD, your shield is larger, but it also reflects any bullets (Except for rockets) but only lasts for 25 seconds (if u dont like it, give me your idea.)

Those are few ideas i got, i would love to hear your opinions and it would be nice to have a sideroll ability to evade Trojans quicker.

Why not? Because.

If we keep buffing ourselves but leave enemies alone we may as well suggest a win button at the start of every level.

Before giving knights more abilities, find a way to make enemies harder and more challenging.

What Juances said.

But in respect to the thread, I'll comment on the abilities anyway.

@Dash: (lol Call of Duty) As much as I'd love this, it'd be too useful during combat. It'd be nice to have some sort of speed buff whenever you're not in combat, but I don't think that's possible.

@Battle Cry: (lol WoW) Considering that you have to spend 640 CE+ (I think) to get an attack buff any other way, this is simply OP.

@Guardian's Might: Larger than Guardian's Shield? Practically temporary invincibility for the whole squad. Even with about a half-minute time limit, this seems too useful. And if it has a cooldown, you can just sit and wait before entering combat again to use it at will.

@Sideroll: (lol Halo) It would be nice to have a way to get out of the way of Trojans, because I've solo'd fiend levels where a Trojan pushes you up against a wall, and you can never get out. The trojan just stands in front of you, and shielding does nothing, neither does moving any direction. Since I run on mist, that was VERY annoying.

However, siderolling out of the way of trojans in general gets rid of the small difficulty level they have by having shields in front of their faces.

-1. I'm sorry.

As much as I like the idea, Juances does have a point. Theoretically speaking, there is no enemy you cannot avoid without the use of these skills - it's all down to timing, reflexes etc.

For instance, Trojans. I can take on two T3 Trojans simultaneously without getting pushed into a corner (granted that I am a gunner, but that's not the point) - much less get hit even once. A sideroll sounds cool, but unless the Trojans are too fast to take on under normal circumstances I fail to see how this is necessary. Fancy, maybe. But unnecessary.

As for the rest, they seem to be highly overpowered versions of UVs that players would spend loads on, with the exception of the Guardian's Shield-like ability, which is essentially a game breaker. I don't think I need to elaborate on this - I'm not even up for a two-second invulnerability.

I'll pass.

Just an idea,

Yeah, i see ur point but if the game were a bit harder for the endgame players (Maybe upping t3 a lil, not like op enemies) but still giving the right challenge needed, but it was just an idea, thanks for ur opinions ^^
