The strangers are really robots made by gremlins?

One of the T3 missions makes mention that the gremlins are apparently capable of making robots sentient and that sometimes these bots go rogue and make their own little colonies.

So what if the strangers were made with the intent of guarding the surface world and ensuring nothing above ground entered the clockworks. They're like gatekeepers of sorts and they were originally programmed to make sure no one used the arcade. But something went wrong and they, in a sense, developed their own free will and stopped obeying the gremlins.

What if the knights are really robots made by gremlins? Maybe they were made with the intent of guarding the surface, originally orbiting the planet in a mobile stronghold designed for them to keep the whole planet safe...

I get the feeling we're doing a really really really bad job :D

What if the Almirians were in a situation like ours, Almire was pulled off another planet, then King Tinkinzar and one of the other monster families (likely devilites, or possible even King Krogmo, if he's actually a king) went to slaughter them all, Vanaduke went to Beast god Vog to gain power.
So that leaves the slimes...

I thought of this, although I didn't think we might be originally meant to guard the core. I thought we might have been built by the gremlins to colonize other planets or something.

Anyway, there is some story support behind this idea, as I believe one of the knights in the questline (I forget who) says "I don't know, it's as if we belong here." or something to this effect. But there is some evidence against this as well, as, Seerus says "I don't know who sent you Iron assassin..." before you confront him. This implies that at least a few of the gremlins don't know who or what made us... Still, it's interesting to think about.

Maybe the gremlins made the strangers and the strangers made us?
