I've come across the tortadrones while reading the wiki, as well as slooms, and gold monsters such as trojans.
I don't know why these were taken out, but i'd really love a chance at them. Perhaps a new boss sloom? Or a tortadrone graveyard?
And are gold enemies a random chance like rares?
Slooms are no longer in the game and do not spawn in monster boxes anymore. Nick has tweeted this in confirmation.
There is golden drone in one of the newest missions. Only one golden enemy i have ever seen.
Golden drones just tend to spawn randomly instead of normal or in certain preset corridors. They're invincible and nothing new introduced with missions.
Golden enemies do not "spawn randomly." They are only in pre-determined places. Same as the Shankles, the Golden Gun Puppy and Golden Trojan were invincible and only used as obstacles.
Please list which mission this golden drone spawns as I have completed every mission and probably just forgot?
The only one I know off the top of my head is Faith in Armor.
I thought the Tortodrone was taken out because it would constantly do this OP charge move that would stunlock you the instant it hit you once. Thus, it was impossible to solo a Tortodrone. Instead of balancing it, OOO kinda swept it under the rug to fix "later."
There's a dialouge relevant to constructs that hints that some of them are... different. This could be in reference to tortodrones. The dialouge is found in mission 7-3: creators and the created.
No, that just refers to mecha knights who are friendly, they were gremlin created, but do not ally with the creators anymore
There are golden drone enemies, but again, they are rare monsters, and they spawn in certain fixed areas within missions, or anywhere within Clockworks Tunnels themed levels.
All of the other rare monsters such as the Golden Trojan/Gun Puppy, Tortodrone, and Sloombargo, have been removed from the game. I suspect they removed the golden enemies from the game because of them randomly spawning in areas that require you to kill every enemy, and not allowing players to move onwards. I'm not sure why the Sloombargo was removed, but the Tortodrone was removed since it dropped a four star shield, allowing players to farm this shield and easily earn 10,000 crowns each time they sell it to an NPC, or such.
Edit: Didn't realize that Slooms were no longer ingame until shortly after I posted.
