Players face off in what could be the most deadly pastime since shallow water cliff diving, Spiral Ball! Enter the 4v4-8v8 test of skill where the your true enemy is the very arena itself!
Setting: Oval or round cornered rectangle, with two goals placed 1/5th of the total arena length from the ends on opposing sides. (-:---:-) Hazards would make up about about 1/4 of available tile space. The game play is divided between a first and second half.
Goal: Each team attempts to put a big lichen ball through the opposite team's goal either by shield bumping, carrying, or attacking it. Big balls score ten points, Mediums scores two points, and smalls one point. (6 smalls balls make up the Big)
Rules: The big ball will break apart when it's smashed too many times, and must be recollected for maximum points as the smaller balls are worth less points in total. All balls will interact with elemental statuses as well, making the prospect of destroying the Big ball (running out the shot clock) even more dangerous.
The biggest difference between Spiral Ball and regular PvP, is in Spiral Ball, the goal is not to kill your opponent. In fact weapons can't hurt other players, only interrupt them, or push them backwards. Death and damage from terrain features, and ball attacks (yes it fights back, c'mon it's an 8 on 1!) result in a "Knock Down" which puts the Knight on his backside for a few seconds.
