So... im pretty bad at making decisions, so i guess my only option is to turn to the community!

I am a bomber, and i do possess many of the 5* bombs and both the volcanic and mercurial demo sets. what im wondering is ... what next? .. and i dont want to so much as touch a mad bomber suit

Here are my choices as follows
  • Callahan: ive always wanted something as cool looking as this ... and enjoy gunning as well, i heard this gun was fun, AND good on devilites!
  • Venom Veiller: i play PVP sometimes, its fun for the most part, but what i cant stand is those toothpicking skolvers (hear me out) that care only about the damage they rack up at the end of the match... i cant resist the urge to troll them XD
  • Ionized salt bomb: Yesi know its bad, i know its nonsensical, but who knows... it may get a buff! also i loove shock weapons
  • Big Angry Bomb: I want this mainly as a mere cosmetic.. but also because i believe in all the good suggestions made about buffing it that i look forward to so much
  • Fearless Rigadoon: Yeah i know i know, it barely ever deals stun, but that may change in the future, and could prove handy in lockdown to own a toothpick
  • Storm driver: I have been thinking about getting a storm driver, they are epically awesome just like all other alchemers, just this one meets my shocking desire
  • Blitz Needle: Yeah, im a good at shiver for vanaduke, just wanted to give myself more option, just in case

sooooo yeahh... thouhts? opinions? Just pick one!!!

It is realy awsome at lord vanaduke (he can't move any more)

- Callahan
Cahallan is great for picking off small groups of Devilites and juggling Gremlins. For the ambush rooms in Devilish Drudgery levels, I'd recommend using your bombs.

- Venom Veiler
One of those 'don't knock it 'till you try it' items; it's fun to get all those poison procs in parties, though it could still do with a small pick-me-up. Could be an interesting toss for Lockdown.

- Ionized/BAB
I'd hold off until they mention the weapon balances, which I'd suspect will be within a week.

Between the last 3: Go with the Riggy if you want a nice melee, Blitz for piercing DPS, and Storm for more general usage.

@ Njohn

Not only is Shivermist Buster not in the list, he already said he have it:
"Blitz Needle: Yeah, im a good at shiver for vanaduke, just wanted to give myself more option, just in case"

What self-respecting full 5* bomber would be without a Shivermist Buster? ;)

I'd say Blitz Needle. I have Strike Needle and Shivermist Buster + Mad Bomber Mask + Heavy Demo Suit (will be Volcanic tonight), making me a welcomed sight in Vana parties, being able to fill both roles. Outside of Vana, Blitz is also good for breaking blocks and crystals, a task that is annoying for pure bombers.

Y u no rssssss

I say none of those. You obviously are having no trouble with your current shield/armour.

Touch mad bomber. Do it. It's great. Besides, full mad means you only need one damage trink, or you can use 2 pentas with no pause.

Beyond that, here's a few suggestions, in order from most to least importance:

Electron vortex
Radiant sun shards
Voltaic tempest
Damage trinkets
Heart pendants

Barring those, take the vv. You can perma poison vana with it if you get around vh ctr. Shiv vv shiv, shiv vv shiv. Takes a bit of practice and requires no effup during the shiv vv shiv, but it isn't too hard.

XD OK FIINE!!!

ill think about getting a mad bomber suit... but as far as electron vorte, Voltaic tempest, and RSS... i alread have em XD ... damage trinkets are always on my to-do list, and heart trinkets seem like theyre nice to have

Also thank you Evilnut for pointing that out to him XD. it was my very first 5* item craft too

As far as mad bomber suit

As far as mad bomber suit goes, a hybrid volc/mad gives you positive fire resist, more than anyone needs in fsc.

Callahan: The callahan looks

Callahan: The callahan looks nice but I just hate having only 2 shots before reloading that doesn't do more damage then 1 flourish hit which just plain sucks. I know guns are suppose to do less damage then melee weapons but when you only have 2 shot(where you can potently miss both shot) it just doesn't come to par with just have a flourish/btb instead and attacking with that.

Venom Viler: The venom vieler is nice and much more useful then most people give it credit. Most people in pvp will definitively try to avoid going into it when attacking and even if they do they can take more dmg and do less damage which can help bring your team to vidtory. It is best use in guild lockdown as you have people who can take advantage of the damage bonus for them and the damage nerf for your enemies. Also good if you use it in conjunction with shock or stun.

Ionized Salt Bomb: Definitely the last thing to get if you ever get it in my opinion.

Big Angry Bomb: Same thing as Ionized Salt Bomb.

Fearless Rigadoon: I would suggest getting a flourish/BTB instead of a rigadoon. The proc chance is so small that you might as well just get the normal flourish/btb and out damage the rigaddon anyways.

Storm Driver: I personally don't like the storm driver just because the polaris does a better job at dmg and electrocuting your enemies. I DO suggest you get a Hail Driver though as that can potentially be very helpful to you in spot freezing and enemy or getting that annoying gunner spammer out of your hair.

Blitz Needle: Yea might as well get it since the more role you can fulfill the better.

If you're mainly a bomber but

If you're mainly a bomber but looking for non-bomb weapons to expand into, have you tried a Catalyser yet? I am inclined to guess that the terrible twin explodey guns are popular with bomb fans, but I also suspect some one particularly interested in the weapons you listed might find the overwhelming power of the Pulsar lines distasteful. The Cats require more care to use and are lots of explodey fun. The slow projectiles encourage me to use mine as a melee weapon, which would work wonderfully well were I better at the sort of situational awareness bombers need, since the explosions deal lots of damage for the time it takes to charge and place them. If I know how many charges I have to stack to kill with one combo, DPS vs. big monsters feels comparable to swords and of course Cats have gun-like reach so it seems a logical complement for bombs in addition to sharing some of the kaboom appeal. More importantly, the orbiting gobs push monsters (including the one they're stuck to) away from them so if you develop good enough timing to reliably detonate them in the desired part of their orbits, you can blast an individual monster in whichever direction you please, as long as it's horizontal. :D

The vectors also don't seem to add in freakishly wrong ways, so if you can control orbital phases you can control the intensity as well as direction of the knockback, at least for a single target. Stack them in-phase and they will push really hard, stack them equidistantly and their impulses cancel out on a single target.

edit: OTOH, the Elemental path for the Pulsar inflicts Shock...
Also, do you have both a shocking Mist bomb and Vortex bomb? If so, what are your thoughts on the two options?
