I've been wondering about this since a Mercurial set has piercing resist against toothpicks and shock resist for the most annoying status effect in the game. Not only that but it also has MSI, though insignificant, can still give a boost to the slower classes.
What do you guys think?

Oh, by the way, Mercurial doesn't get Speed Boost until 5*. Still works Great in T2 Lockdown, though, if you know how to Dodge right.

MSI doesn't do anything.
MSI doesn't do anything. Don't bother. I have and use mercurial in LD and in the clockworks, and its fairly terrible compared to other sets.

It's the set used by most
It's the set used by most skilled gunners, ironically.
It's a set used mostly for free movement, so players that use drivers while strafing will see the most benefit.
If you already have ASI UVs on your weapons, then as a swordsman you might take advantage of the set by using a damage trinket along with a heart trinket. The movement bonus isn't necessarily noticeable when boosting, but an unboosted striker will find it easier to deal with walking classes such as recon and guardian.
You still have a VH universal dmg bonus if you count the inherent bonus from striker module and dmg trinket, so you will manage well.
edit: Take note that no amount of shock resistance will protect you from a brandish charge to the face. In most 2v1 situations gunners tend to take to those charges like moths to a candle.

Shock + one of the best natural pierce defs.
It's your best option for toothpicks + VT resistance without resorting to UVs. Recon class gives max CTR so if you use mist bombs.....
It only looks bad if you are a swordsman.

Are you a Bomber?
Unless they change Mercurial Demo into Piercing instead of Elemental, Mercurial Mail is the Best Piercing Defence armor to Bombers. If you can get Very High CTR UVs on your Bombs, you have yourself a Beast & Jelly Resistant Demo Suit with a Bonus Shock Resist & some Walk Speed to plant those Bombs & get away from Enemies.
I actually think that would be really good set and be unique. Because everyone is just running around wearing some type of squirrel coat. But the bad thing is that they are hard to get at 20 bark modules o-o ... I use my mercurial set for T2 bc T3 is just to hard for me right now..
