What times are there enough players for Tier 1 or 2 Lockdown?

Coming back to Spiral Knights after about half a year, I'm trying to play this new "Lockdown" PvP mode. The problem is my game keeps getting delayed. I have a lot of 3-star gear, so I'm trying to play in tier 2. I can also play in tier 1 if it's easier, but tier 3 is out of the question because I'm F2P and really far from 5-star equipment.

So the question is, when are there actually enough people to play tier 1 or 2 lockdown with?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I do need those Krogmo coins! Are the Krogmo coin items now pretty much only obtainable for people who already have 5-star gear to play in tier 3 with?

T3 has more common games. T2

T3 has more common games. T2 has games, if you are willing to wait for the one currently in to finish. Sometimes, there'll be too many people for one T2 game, but not enough for 2. T1 is... well. It wasn't common, and most of the time I could play T1 is if some friends get together and join it to bump the number up to 8. I've avoided T1 though, because the new hammer makes it ridiculous.

It also depends on your server. Us usually has a game or two, and Eu depending on the time. There are times when there could be no one in Eu.

This probably won't be any help, but there's this thing called Steam where it has achievements for games and it gives you free sstuf from the achievements and stuff like that, and on Christmas last year, one of the achievements was for Spiral Knights and it was to go to play lockdown and chuck a snowball at someone else. At that time I saw about 180 people playing tier 1 lockdown. There was no problem getting a game. There may be more of this stuff in other holidays.
