perhaps OOO could create a crimson hammer mission that's difficulty is shadow lair. it would be just like a normal shadow lair except you don't need a shadow key (you still need to purchase the crimson hammer expansion) and don't need shadow lair clearance. it would be an add on to the crimson hammer content so everyone who has already purchased it would get it. The levels would be like normal except they do lots more damage and are harder to kill (like all shadow lairs) and may even have an added status affliction (shock maybe?). the Boss would have 6 base machines and double the spawners. The weapons used by Seerus have bigger range than the T3 version and afflict (shock?) damage. after the boss you would go to the unknown passage like the other shadow lairs and at the end you would get a void mask of seerus or something like that at the end. since the thing is called his "grand arsenal" the items crafted from the sanctuary alchemy machine should be weapons. some weapons could be a fire version of a pulsar (blaze burner?) and a Piercing version of the argent peace maker.

He's basically askin' for a Shadow Lairs version of Operation Crimson Hammer, with weapon rewards instead of armor rewards.

He suggests that the new status theme be shock, probably to match that of the Roarmulus twins, and that the rewards should be a Fire Pulsar and a Piecing Antigua, along with a mask called the Void Mask of Seerus.

Yaaawn.

A DLC with a DLC? Or a crownsink with a DLC?
I've heard of ridiculous add-ons but this is just...

Why not just make a Shadow Lairs version of the Arkus mission as well, while you're at it?
(I shouldn't have said that)

im not saying you have to

im not saying you have to purchase to get it. its just added on to the DLC so instead of unlocking a tier 1,2 and 3 mission there is also a shadow lair version.

Hmm...

Well, usually when a developer releases DLC, it's very rare for them to update or add-on to that content unless it's a bugfix or some manner of tweaking. The idea is sound - adding a Shadow Lair tier to the existing series of 'Expansion' missions, but as I see it, the community wouldn't take kindly to the fact that the DLC they have NOW wasn't entirely 'finished'.

Basically, what I'm saying is that it's looks badly on Three Rings to add content onto a DLC-only part of the game; it'd make it look like they hadn't thought it through, and people who didn't buy the DLC would feel that Three Rings is catering to those that have.

REALIZED

O.o I just realized shadow lairs are kinda like what that crap some people were saying (no pointing fingers :3) like OOO making a tier 4... I don't like the tier 4 idea. (mostly cause I really can't beat Vana with mad bomber, and I don't want a harder status boss)

About the shadow lair thingy of CH... Ehhh... Maybe you should need a shadow key. I'd actually support that, cause I don't want a gun version of a Final, or extremely high damage from a gun that already has an amazing and annoying knockback... Hey.. U favor guns! No... Not only guns... A shock blast bomb that's elemental (:D *winkwinknudgenudgeOOO*) and maybe a pierce AP... No TNT guns... That's basically what a fire Polaris is... A gun that explodes in you face and burns you into a crisp... Bad picture in my head now... I'm gunna have nightmares, THANKS A LOT DIAMONDSHREDDIE FOR THE JEFF THE KILL PIC!!! Omg I though I was gunna die then and there!

@Dagunner:

Truth be told, I probably wouldn't mind if something to do with the Shadow Lairs was implemented as a separate DLC (okay, maybe I would resent that a little, but then again Shadow Lairs largely cater to P2P players who would hate this suggestion to the core).

However changing a DLC around is... not business-wise. Cyankitsune pretty much summed it up for me, and granted that OOO is a profit-based organization, we also have to take into account that this would hamper their ability to make profits if such changes upset the fanbase - and I mean both sides of the fanbase - F2Pers and P2Pers.

well

a fire polaris isnt OP. its a polaris that sets things on fire instead of shock. And it doesnt Give OOO a bad reputation because it just adds something and doesnt really say anything bad. and it would probally be a reason for more people to get the expansion so OOO would make a profit, so I dont see what is bad about it

Aish...

No TNT guns... That's basically what a fire Polaris is... A gun that explodes in you face and burns you into a crisp...
False analogy. The whole point on the Fire Polaris is irrelevant.

The idea is sound - adding a Shadow Lair tier to the existing series of 'Expansion' missions, but as I see it, the community wouldn't take kindly to the fact that the DLC they have NOW wasn't entirely 'finished'.
Again, I have no qualms about adding it into a prestige mission that you can do once a day or something like that, or even the story missions - but if you modify/add content to an already-released DLC, it gives the impression that the story thus far is incomplete and you're hastily throwing it back in.

Kind of like doing a research paper, submitting it, and then calling up the professor a week later saying you have an addendum.

Or how about buying a certain company's RPG-TPS game, realizing the story has plot holes and can't wrap up the whole series well enough, and then having the same company release a DLC that explains the plotholes? Sure, you'd answer a lot of questions, but you'll still upset the fanbase; especially given that they've already paid for it.

and it would probally be a reason for more people to get the expansion so OOO would make a profit, so I dont see what is bad about it.
Are you sure? If I knew something was hastily thrown into a complete idea, I'd lose my faith in the creators.
