never felt so happy to have a triglav
sweet jeebles troika finaly got the buff it deserves
I have to try it out first, but my bro heavyknightguy prolly will be estatic...
I looked over the buff. but unless Im reading it wrong, it doesn't seem a ton better or anything. It said that the first attack was weaker. Now does that mean that its weaker then before, or just weaker then the 2nd? Also, I'm not a fan of a 2 hit combo charge attack. It will leave you open that much longer, granted, it could be damn good if aimed right.
Tweak it all you want, switching out an avenger and a faust will always be better.
@Juances - IF the troika did more dps to neutral enemies than GF or DA, then troika would be the superior heavy swords for beasts and fiends. Just saying.
@Norlead- Yes,but most of us wouldn't consider getting one even then....after all what are the toothpicks meant for.I know it's off topic, sorry.Just saying.
Maybe I can finally go back to a one sword, three bomb loadout. Been hauling around a DA/GF all this time, my poor bombs miss me.
As a recon, it sure is nice to have a powerful assisting weapon to help out a guardian being swarmed.
However, since I already own a CTR-based 1HKO weapon (elemental brandish), I find this not very useful. It's great for those that laready own it though, good on you guys. Wearing a Chaos set pretty much ensures universal max CTR as a recon (you don't even have to wear bomber sets for LD anymore), so for your CTR-based players out there this is a great patch
I've been playing around with my four-star Jalovec some before heating it up and upgrading to the five-star Triglav, and I have to say, the charge attack is amazing, and pretty powerful on top of that. The attack animation is very much the same, but the initial hit deals knockdown-only before a second AoE blast sends them flying and potentially inflicts status. Both hits deal a great amount of damage, so this is an excellent buff for the otherwise underused heavy blades.
As mentioned in the patch notes thread, these swords are experiencing a latency issue that will be fixed soon. Still very useable in the meantime, but it will get better in the next patch.
And to think I sold my jalovec just days ago :(
I liked it when the first hit was strong and the second hit was weak. I rarely use my 2nd hit.
sweet vog, ive been waiting for it.
*pukes rainbow*
Now I'm somewhat happy to have a Jalovec. I made one just to see how terrible they were firsthand.
It finally received a buff. :D
Umm guys the changes are only to the charge attack
according to patch notes and how it is outlined...
The patch did not alter it's normal attack. Just the charge attack.
Well at least it is a step forward. They may buff the damage it deals later on.
It's already a huge damage dealer in its own right, it just lacks a percentage of the damage which can bypass certain types of defense...like the sealed sword variants.
For a recon, this is a great weapon to use since the death mark removes all defense anyway. You deal about 8-12 more bars of damage for a full combo than you would with any sealed sword 5* variant.

I'm happy I have my Jalovec and Khorovod. I knew this day would come some time. :)
Enemies, beware of my awesome 2-hit charge combo!
But since I haven't tried it out yet, I have a question. Wouldn't the first blow inflict epic knockback, thus making the second smash useless? Unless the first smash only does damage. I can't really tell.
First causes damage and no knockback
Second causes more damage and knockback
Why it isn't combined into one hit, I am not sure...
Loving the new attack, even though the location that it hits is buggy (looking forward to the fix, but enjoying it all the same.) Giving it a second hit with knockback makes it MUCH more reliable for hitting what you're aiming at, and brings the damage far closer to well... every other sword for charge attacks. The second part giving the knockback now also makes it FAR easier to lead enemies that are moving into attack range.
The Triglav is a bit confusing now, though. It SEEMS that sometimes it freezes on the first hit (on the charge) and then unfreezes on the second hit. Sometimes it freezes on the second hit, but this seems to only happen to things that moved into the attack area after the first hit and get hit only by the second.
Doesn't seem to be much point in freezing on the first hit of the charge, since the second one will inevitably follow right after. Now that the knockback is more reliable (and even moreso the point of the charge) the freeze that the triglav sometimes inflicts seems even more like a disadvantage than a positive boon.
Maybe it would be better if it created a brief freeze mist in the area AFTER all of the things hit by knockback are pushed away?
Maybe I should make a suggestion thread...
[Edit: I see I was mistaken partly about the charge attack. Doesn't seem to freeze with the first half of the charge at all, might have been confused by the timing goofiness of the second half...]
From what I've experienced on the charge attack, the heavy swords (or at least the non-rocket hammer, 3* or less swords) have a charge attack that is similar to their old charge attack, but concludes with a delay followed by a small explosion centered on your character. I haven't tried this out in the clockworks yet, but it does make sense. It would mean that first attack would hit the enemies, and the second attack would blow enemies away from your character. Although, I think one of the low level heavy swords lacks this functionality. I think it was either the heavy hatchet or the thwack hammer (I forget which one.)
Still, Interesting. I am looking forward using this new attack in the clockworks.
The afterblast originating from the character was a bug that was corrected in yesterday's patch. Ironically, the charge worked better that way; it's actually become harder to pull off both hits, nevertheless safely.
no one else feels excited?
