Spiral knights has been released for almost a year, and the only big update is the mission system..

im thinking that is it because that Spiral Knights' structure was built as a "Web Game" not as a traditional MMORPG ?(such as maple story, Aion, Lineage 2, WOW)

i think its not that either OOO or Sega doesn't want to give the game lots of new content, i think it has a very limit space to do an expansion based on

Spiral Knights' "Web Game" structure. (look at our SL bosses, they all look like 2nd player color )

i assume that if they really want to do some huge update, they might as well as just release Spiral Knights 2 or something...like a new game...

-------button line-----

i dont think we'll get a chance to go to "the core " in Spiral Knights 1

i think Vanaduke and FSC is the final stage in Spiral knights 1 story line

Yet,

Spiral Knights has a client one can use. I don't play the game via a web browser. I have an icon on my desktop.

This is the direct client.

download.threerings.net/spiral/client/spiral-install.exe

@Xombie those could make like

@Xombie

those could make like a DLC

its like those bosses are already made into the game

they just release it time by time

--------

and for the Shadow lairs , dont u think they were just recycling the old stuffs and put some new color on it and then call is " NEW BOSS " ?

Spiral Knights could have

Spiral Knights could have been considered "complete" when it came out. There was a clear system of progression which players could take, along with replayability through new gear, multiple paths, and party systems. On top of that, it was free, to a point.

Really, I think you're expecting a little too much, to the point of entitlement.

yes, to make this argument

yes, to make this argument work, just dismiss everything else that was added to the game.

It is hardly a browser game.

It is hardly a browser game. If you play from your browser it downloads the game just like steam does. The only difference is that it installs it in some cache to be deleted later instead of installed permanently until the user decides to remove it. While I've tried using the browser interface before (on my ubuntu laptop) it really is a pain. I wouldn't play this without downloading the standalone client at minimum.
