... still stucks. The charge attack never releases it's projectile if the swing connects with something, and when the projectile does shoot it's damage is pitiful. The second swing of the combo often fails to fire if you attack rapidly.
Wow, Winmillion...
well nick said the swords were "lagging" or something like that so maybe it is just temporal.
Yeah, I've noticed that using a slow sword like Sudaruska requires rapid tapping to execute the second hit.
In my opinion, the Winmillion is now just a faster, weaker, glorified Ascended Calibur. The primary lunge is what made the Spur series what it is, and without it, there is no point in using it if you already have said Ascended Calibur. They also sacrificed the wideness of the first swing, meaning it also has the range of the A. Calibur. I like the charge attack now (even though i barely used it), but the thing is, shield canceling is worse because of it. Now, when you shield cancel, you don't step back then swipe, nor do you even swipe at all. At least before, you had a quick dodge backwards. Dont get me wrong though, it is still my favorite weapon, but all in all, they sacrificed the most important part of it (the basic attacks) for a "better," if you want to call it that, charge attack. PLEASE BRING BACK AT LEAST THE PRIMARY LUNGE, I CAN DO WITHOUT THE SMALLER HITBOX. Again, just my opinion though.

What? I hated the primary lunge, it always tossed me into enemies and spikes when I was distracted
The primary lunge necessitated that you attacked cautiously, its what made the Spur series special. You should have known what to expect when using it. The purpose of the Spurs are to fly around the battlefield while knocking back enemies around you, the lunge would close the gap, almost like paddle-ball. If you flung yourself into spikes and stuff, then you would be using it wrong. It's all about keeping safe distances, even if you have to play keep-away. Besides, if you do in fact run into spikes and such, there is a split-second of invulnerability that can be used to shield. Well, there was anyways.
But the piercing swords lunge forward too.....as well as the cutter line....
Like I said, it's like a weaker A. Calibur with a projectile. But who cares? It still looks awesome, like an ornate scimitar with a motor. WINMILLION FTW(million)!!!
Yes, but piercing sword are more suited for elimination of single Beast/Fiend target. And it doesn't dash as far as original Spur line.
The idea behind Cutter is to land more hits, not lunging. But right now damage it caused per hit are too low to make any actual use off it.
The Spur line's forward lunge allow you to strike first from out of normal sword range and 'brute-forcing' monsters into wall or corner, where you can easily interrupt their attacks and knock them down with third strike over and over again.
I still like being able to fire off winmillion shots from a safe distance without having to lurch around just to swing once.
The Spur series was originally a combination of Calibur and Cutter; it had the speed and the ability to fly around the battlefield of a Cutter, whilst still having good damage and knockback, like a Calibur. The Winmillion adds a projectile to boot. A scenario i find myself in a lot is when one party member is distracting a gun puppy, and then i sneak behind with about a one-square gap, then let loose my Winning Million furies, so to speak (that is, when my Avenger isn't out). Now, its not a viable strategy due to the only thing being able to hit is the weak disc.
I have to agree. Not having a 5 star version of the winmillion hurts it a lot. Removing the thing that made the winmillion special means that there is absolutely zero reason to use it over a stronger leviathan blade or brandish series.
The charge attack change is competely welcome though.
I say lacking a 5-star is the only thing keeping winmillion from surpassing leviathan blade
got a WinMillion: vh ASI
never thought it was good or bad ... pity no *5 version exists :(
Sorry to necro this thread and being too... selfish this time. I feel like making some point.
Dear Three Rings,
Most Spur-line player are well aware enough of it's tendencies to throw users into hazards that they can adept with it.
We're not that dumb.
Please revert the changes and fix the hitbox problem. People will love you for it.
While the other tweaks were appreciated, I also want the first lunge back. No other blade moved like it. Homogenization is not the answer.
A 5 star winmillion would make a nice matchup against those Final Flourishes and Barberous Thorn Blade in LD. Without any ASI from anything, Winmillion has the same attack speed as a regular piercing sword.
I'm sorry to hear it. Perhaps they are trying to get Winmillion comparable to 4-star Brandishes, in preparation for a 5-star Winmillion sometime in the future?
