today u removed the extra CR from missions and maps.. i know that makes new players easier to get someitems.. well.. the problem is not there.. the problem is the MARKET.. ppl keep raising the CE price.. if u ask aroudn . we all rather to pay 7500 cr per 100 ce.. than 6500 with the current earning from maps.. doesnt help much...
its crazy how ppl raise the ce price from like 6600 to 6900 just to buy 100 ce ¬_¬ and another person do the same fro 6900 to 7k .. thats nor fair to most players..

my idea is to take control of the market and put a standar price for ce..as u did with the depot.. it will be awesome if u put 5k cr per 100 ce.. but something like 5500 or 6k cr will be good.. and ppl will have more chance to lvl up..

so my idea is remove the market . and put a standar ce price...

many ppl will hate this.. but most ppl will be agree with this..

i really hope u take this on consideration and do something about it..

If...

You want an instant devaluation of all goods in the AH, a depreciation of the real value of the crown and something like this, go ahead.

Your call. But if I were you, I wouldn't argue against basic free market economics.

I can.

But I sincerely hope you're referring to the OP.
Anyway, what he's saying is, remove the free market mechanics from the CE, and fix prices for CE at, maybe 5k to 6k cr.

I think we all know where this is heading.

FAIL

People will trade directly or using in-game mail or steam trade, etc.
You block one way,but there are plenty of workarounds.

A nuisance yes, since it will take a minute or two to make a deal instead of instant gratification by pushing a button in the market, but such time lost is rewarded with more money anyways.

In economic terms,

Implementing a price ceiling will guarantee the formation of a black market.
And the bigger the price difference between the current CE prices and your proposed fixed prices, the more lively the black market will be.
Not to mention that there's no way you can crack down on this black market in game.

Not sure what you're talking about.

If you're referring to RuneScape, they put Free Trading back in when they had a Referendum and 92% of the Voters said to bring it back. That was like...last year.

@Kentard

Three Rings is doing a pretty good job in making sure large black market doesn't form in Spiral Knights, it might be helped by the fact that CE is a currency in of itself rather than playings resorting to money or turning a particular item into currency, and trading items/CE/crowns for real money is a bannable offense (IIRC).

I realised that, That's when I was actively playing it. But there was no free trade for nearly 3 years.

That's cause Jagex was lazy and didn't want to fix the problem, they just made it harder to see. lol
