Hello, this is the first time I am posting here so pardon my errors of any kind.

My idea is on making the specialized armors more useful by giving a passive boost to those weapons whose lore is similar to each other.The bonus for one piece of a set will always be Low (hence when wearing full set, the total bonus will be Medium so that it doesn't make the trinkets less useful). Wolvers, Gunslingers and Bomber armor sets will not get such kind of bonus since theirs is a general bonus. Now let me give you two examples:

The Valkyrie and Heavenly Iron Set+Divine Avenger, Rigadoon:- Both of them are good-aligned items(not sure about Rigadoon). So how about if we give ASI or Damage boost for Rigadoon when using Valkyrie and for DA ASI or CTR when using Heavenly Iron?

Magic Set+Alchemers:- This armor set is for those knights who dabble with magics,and alchemers (in my opinion) is made out of magical substances.Lets give the status inflicting alchemers damage boost when wearing grey feather set and ASI or CTR when using Divine set.

This is all I will post for now to give everyone a basic idea. I will post more if I receive positive response (and also I dont want to create a wall of text).

@Infidelslayer:

Ehh, this kinda eliminates the need for higher-end UVs, which I don't care to do.

Also, guns should get bonuses when wearing the different gunner sets...not randomly a non-denominational set of gear, such as Magic. Alchemers aren't magical, they're elemental. There's no magic in this game, technically.

To some extent you are right.But note that only a specific weapon will receive the bonus when you are wearing the specific armor(DA+Heavenly Iron). So the importance of high-end UV rolling should not be affected.

Also no one can get damage bonus from UVs.

I took the lore of alchemers as somewhat "magical" in the sense that it can produce a type of projectile that conventional weapons cannot produce(bouncy bullets for start), in other words its mysterious (brandishes fire explosive lasers so no its not "magical"). But this is my personal view, don't mean to undermine yours.

Thanks for the reply :).

Forces people to use items as

Forces people to use items as a set. Messes up mixing weapons/armors. Do not want.

You could always...

Utterly troll LD by making all Wolver sets give some sort of debuff. Something silly like Movement speed.

Imagine all those Storm Troopers getting outrun by Ancient Plate users. ;D

Hmmmmm.....

@Fehzor

Gameplay-wise,it could be a bit inconvenient. But:

1. Its not mandatory to wear the set. Mixing armors will still work, although it will become limited.Also using DA+ Heavenly iron armor or helm vs fiends is...not so effective as compared to using the flourish series.

2. The lore of some weapons, especially DA somewhat points toward those who are noble,worthy blah blah....in short good-aligned armor (especially the Valkyrie and Heavenly) should be able to reap the benefit of this blade. How can I imagine a Holy weapon being used by someone who is wearing the Fallen set?

Summary: Devs have given armors and weapons a lore..they should design their function according to it.Valkyrie and Heavenly Iron users should get extra benefit for using Holy weapons ( although not too restrictive as you have mentioned).

@Severage

Lolz, I can imagine XD.
But seriously the Wolver series need some kind of de-buff.
