...are all the Constructs (the normal ones, not the battlepods or anything) based off other enemies?
Scuttlebots match with Chromalisks, with their 4 stubby legs and short-ish range attacks.
Retrodes go with Zombies, a slash attack and a long range one.
Lumbers are counterparts to Trojans, heavy hitting and all (no shields though...)
and you could say that the Gun Puppies are based off Howlitzers, even though Howlitzers were patched in, since they might have existed before based on the lore of Spiral Knights. :/
That only leaves the Mecha Knights, which I have a suspicion about. THEY'RE BASED OFF OF US. Or phantoms, if you prefer that.
