Currently if someone pays another players way onto an elevator they other player does not know until afterwards unless previously spoken. Add something like a pop-up to at least inform each player of the option prior to any action needed.

Actually, the chat pop ups and says "X player added you to their tab", but the UI may cover it with the next depth message.

Oh, that's what the OP meant.
I thought Neb-Ent was just saying there was no indication, but I see now. When one player pays for another once they've actually stepped on the elevator, no one knows who paid until after the elevator because of the next depth message.
So yes, a clearer form of indication would be nice for these kinds of situations. +1

Well...
It could put the Star by your name where your energy symbol goes.
If you tab someone, it puts a star in that guy's tab section by their HP on the left. Maybe it could just do the same for the one being tabbed.

Yes. The player who is tabbing you sees a star in a blue circle. The other players in the party see a blue circle with a line. But you don't see any icon at all near your name, meaning you have no idea if you have been tabbed, especially if the "X has tabbed you" message was buried under material notifictations or noob spam when it was given.

there is something that informs each player of the 'tab' but only AFTER it has been used. A friend put me on his tab, i went back to the home base and it still cost him 10 energy cuz it never told me I was on a tab till after i reached my destination. A clear and decisive pop-up could easily fix this.

if i get tabbed BEFORE I'm in elevator it works, but if it happens AFTER then when the group walks into the elevator it is to late. It's a fail system and you are blind to see otherwise. troll elsewhere.
It pops up in the chat feed.
"Player-One has added Player-Two to their tab."
Players' energy tab statuses are also indicated in the party members menu.
