So a lot of people have been complaining that the pepperbox was ruined by the update that gave knockback to its charge, and want the knockback removed entirely. Now, I actually like the new charge, and I thought that I'd make a video showing why. Note that the video does not actually show or explain why, and is entirely me using a pepperbox. I even played some music.

I fought mecha knights, slimes, and a few other things like beasts, as that is what I usually use the pepperbox on, and that is what it seems most suited for fighting. Oh, and I fought ashtails. With a pepperbox. Because I'm a be-ay-you-five. And because I wanted to do an arena with other people, and to fight mecha knights- which weren't in that arena -_-.

And here is a link to it on youtube-

The only thing I think

Is that the pepperbox bullets should be enlarged. That way the bullets can hit easier, while still utilizing the knockback. Right now, the problem is that hitting with the charge attacks damage at a distance isn't very good because you pepper them with a shower of bullets, but they get knocked out of the range, severely reducing the damage, while back in the day it used to be the "I'm going to take this one monster and kill it right here" because it sucked him in, and had him take every bullet. Even if he didn't die, he'd stagger and couldn't hit you, and 80% of the time be on fire.

If the bullets were much larger, or shot much faster, the bullets would have a higher chance to do full damage from a distance, which is what a gun is. Distance fight.

Double the amount of bullets

Double the amount of bullets it shoots and increase the range by 20%

Heavy damage if you manage to trap an enemy into a corner and helpful for keeping enemies away as a support gunner. Enough damage to compete bliz but slower projectiles and less damage to most targets

I LOVE THIS GUN!!!!!!!!!

I will use this in non-fire levels as a bomber utillity. Knockback would help alot.

Maybe enlarge the range and the bullet size.

He was in tier 2, which is

He was in tier 2, which is why you were seeing 30 damage. I like how people pinpoint the one little thing they expect to be bad about a certain gun, then exaggerate it. Things like that combined with OOO trolling new players by making 2 star alchemers complete crap is what makes people think gunning has no use at all and is completely inferior to something else.

It is terribly underwhelming regardless. It used to be nice to charge into something's face, well that is gone now.

You might think "oh, with knockback, it makes you safer" well yeah so does killing the thing attacking me.

The gun's design isn't to be used all the time, just to charge up on something like a lumber / gun puppy, both of which an alchemer would work.

Pretty much, what Quotefanboy said. It used to have a use, it targeted one monster and it almost guaranteed a kill. Now, it is useless survivability which would be much more helpful if you woulda just killed the dang thing. No, knockback on this is not helpful. It may seem like it, but it would become much more helpful if they removed it.

Real men of genius: Mr. underwhelming gun procrastinating crafter!

It may take eight entire clips to kill a mini jelly in a group, but when that fiery storm of bullets sets something on fire you're going to look like the koolest kid on the block!

heres to you Mr. underwhelming gun procrastinating crafter, real man of genius.

I did it in T2, because

I did it in T2, because soloing everything with it isn't exactly too easy in T3... its a support weapon, and I needed to get some footage to make the video with.

Nice video

The sad part is there's no real reason to use pepperbox over the guns effective on those enemy types. An example:

Why use Valiance over umbra driver on slimes?

It has a 3 shot clip, meaning 2 shots can be fire in quick succession continuously without reloading.
It fires faster than Umbra Driver
It has knockback to keep enemies away from you.
Charge shot knocks enemies back a good, controllable distance and is somewhat strong at the same time.

Now, Why use Volcanic Pepperbox over Umbra Driver on Slimes?

It lights enemies on fire.
.....
.....
Charge shot knocks enemies back?

Well, you get the picture. There is nothing the Volcanic Pepperbox does that another weapon does not already do, and does it better. The vacuum effect (which I know is not coming back) was the only reason to use it.

The vacuum effect was epic,

The vacuum effect was epic, but I like to fight mecha knights and jelly king with it every blue moon. The knockback can be used effectively, and doesn't hinder the DPS that much, compared to the situations that it can be used in to increase damage; removing the knockback would only make it worse.
