Stage rotation

I actually kind of like the current stage mechanic where the maps rotate after awhile, but it would be nice if there is something to help ease the waiting process.

Its quite frustrating when the path and the map rotates at the same time, skipping the map you want, and making the wait even longer. Not that it matters, but I have a time limit to play every now and then. Waiting so long isn't really favored imo.

So what can be done is to...
Shorten the rotation time.
Remove the path rotation. (So we'll know what map actually comes next)

Heck even a timer for the map rotation might be nice. So something else can be done during the wait time. This change isn't really important, but I feel its something that can make the game more enjoyable. Less waiting more playing =D

are you sure the path

are you sure the path actually shifts? also I'm not sure how easy the devs want it to be for you to cherry pick levels

Yes the gates shift in real

Yes the gates shift in real time, honestly I think it should just randomly pick a level from the ones that are available instead of having it being on a timed schedule.

Basically how it does for the vault, arena, graveyard levels. Only it would tell you what you are playing next so you can prepare.

well i know that the levels

well i know that the levels rotate, and that a path is drawn to one of those level spots initially, so if you wait the levels swap in whatever direction their moving (so your stationary path points to a different level now). but I'm not sure if i believe that the path moves as well...

Yeah the path shifts too.

Yeah the path shifts too. Unless somehow its showing up differently on my screen.

@ djbiznatch
Yeah I know that map picking shouldn't be THAT easy, but it shouldn't have to take 20mins either. Just feels kinda... counter productive.

@GodofSkype1
The reason I still like picking the levels is because of the fact you can in some way, select the type of monsters you'll be fighting / the loot you'll be getting. Works great, especially for players who aren't holding the right kind of weapon at that moment and don't want a hard time. The map options provided, its just something that can be improved on -- to be made more user friendly. Hope this is something the devs will consider.

I do enjoy the occasional random map selection tho. xD

.

A timer would be VERY nice to have. And the rotation time should be cut to about 5~10 minutes. It could be more interesting to have it "constantly" change/be random.

I'm starting to see

I hate to say it, but i'm starting to see why people don't like FollowerOfSkype1. What do you gain from coming on here and being so negative and close-minded to everyone else's opinion.

@OtherPeople, is there a hide all posts by certain user option?

Isn't rotation time 3-7

Isn't rotation time 3-7 minutes... already in the range of 5-10?

Because if you have random

Because if you have random map selection, you can't rerun levels and rig the game to what YOU want. The developers never intended for people to pick their own levels.

I am very against the current system of timed interval gates, it takes far too much waiting around for it to switch. I think all levels should be randomly chosen upon entry into the instance and SHOULD NOT change until after you leave them and move onto the next instance.

It works for the graveyard levels, it can work for ALL levels, layers, and tiers.

I think the levels ARE meant

I think the levels ARE meant to be picked. That's why they have the arrows pointing out the direction the next level will cycle in. Especially since everything is like a clock, its a cycle. I could swear one of the in game notes also talks about levels cycling in real time. So they understand some people will be odd enough to wait, if they want to wait 5 to 30 minutes for a level to cycle, they have no problem with it.

Plus, remember the developers like to give us freedom here. Or at least the illusion of it. That's why "we" can form clockworks stratums with our materials.

Graveyards and treasure rooms are on random because of the potential risk and/or reward of them. They want to ensure no token farming of Treasure vaults, and I guess for good players, crown and heat farming of graveyards.

We design the levels, we pick the levels.

We really don't pick the

We really don't pick the levels, when that gate forms it just picks levels based on the minerals recipes. We don't go into each layer 1 by 1 and select or vote on the levels we wish to play out of the current criteria that was formed via the minerals.

I say we remove the linearity of the damn things and randomize the levels on each layer, just like the graveyard/vault levels.

I for one am tired of sitting around waiting for the arenas to pop up, plus most people in a group are impatient and won't wait.

This could be a nice spot for

This could be a nice spot for a crown sink as well. For 500 Crowns you can "russian roulette" the next level. Gets you an instant change on which floor will be next, but you aren't guaranteed to move it 1 to the left for the arena level that you want or anything like that.

I would def pay 500 crowns to

I would def pay 500 crowns to roll a level I didn't wish to play in favor for the next one over or randomly selected.
