When you move forward during a sword swing, the hitbox spawns as if you didn't move at all. As a result, your sword has a very short range as most of the hitbox is covering your own character. This issue affects all swords (except heavy sword 2nd hit), but it's most apparent in the Spur and Flourish.
This also affects the Troika charge, but rather than fixing it with the latest two patch, OOO just put a band-aid over it by adding a second hit after a large delay after the attack. The first hit of the charge still lands about where the player jumps to rather than where the shockwave graphic is.
Ah, no wonder it was really hard to aim at things with the Cutter/Flourish charge attacks. Thank you very much for this piece of information!
I guess I'll definitely have to switch to the Snarble Barb line for an unbugged charge attack, unless it's certain that OOO knows how to fix this bug.
