Just a bunch of my personal opinions on how to further balance out weapons and armors. This is more or less a huge idea dump, feel free to discuss or critique anything on the list.

Armor Sets

-Azure Guardian Set-
Add global CTR low to the 5* pieces.

-Almirian Crusader Set-
Add global CTR low to each piece.

-Heavenly Iron Set-
Change low sword damage bonus to global low damage bonus.

-Chaos Set-
Remove Normal defense, buff current bonuses to medium, add low ASI bonus.

-Wolver Set-
Remove status resists from the 2* through 4* set.

Swords

-Cold Iron Vanquisher-
Remove knockback from charge attack.

-Winmillion-
Add a 5* version.

-Hunting Blade-
Change damage to split Normal/Piercing.

-Riagdoon & Flamberge-
Increase chance to cause status.

-Cautery Sword-
Replace it with a poison-inflicting Normal damage Brandish line?

Guns

-Volcanic Pepperbox-
Increase range and fire chance, remove knockback from charge attack.

-Iron Slug-
Add a "good chance to cause strong Stun" (Callahan has moderate Stun)

Bombs

-Irontech Destroyer-
Remove walk speed penalty, increase radius to slightly less than Nitronome.

-Big Angry Bomb-
Increase radius to slightly less than Nitronome, add a Stun infliction on being hit by the bomb. Basically, it should be a bomb version of the new Sudaruska charge. :3

-Deconstructor-
Change to Elemental damage, add a 5* version.

-Ionized Salt Bomb-
Reduce charge time to equal Radiant Sun Shards.

-Dark Retribution-
Revert bullet speed nerf, keep the damage nerf.

Shields

-Omega Shell-
Add Poison resist.

-Aegis-
Add Shock resist. It'll balance it out with Heater's Freeze resist and we also don't have a piercing + shock shield.

Now I want to kamikaze run with that chaos and a swifstrike.

-But you're making cobalt and Almire exactly the same.
-Cold iron becomes totally superior to levi, but I guess you want that since calibur recipes are basically free with missions.

No Cobalt

Why even buff anything in the Cobalt line if OOO hands the recipes out to players?

Cobalt, Almirian Crusader,

- Cobalt, Almirian Crusader, and Chaos sets -
Defenses are fine. Pure normal defense is not a good choice beyond T1, and we already have the platemail set which does the same thing. Pure elemental defense is an even less viable option. If anything, remove the debuffs from the platemail set. Add fire resist to the almirian crusader set and weaken the fire status resist on the vog cub set.

- Heavenly Iron Set -
Fine as is. The reason it's balanced is because the other angelic pieces have the fire vulnerability, the heavenly iron set does not. This makes it a good choice for vanduke runs.

- Cold Iron Carver -
Change damage to half normal/half elemental, remove undead damage bonus.

- Rigadoon and Flamberge -
Fine as is. If anything, they could apply their statuses more often, but the damage is balanced because you give up damage in exchange for a chance at inflicting a negative status on the enemy.

- Cautery Sword -
It's clear this was made to bring down Royal Jelly, but it also doubles as the normal damage version of the brandish line. Add a 4* and 5* version of the sword.

-pepperbox line-
Decrease the range of the needle guns slightly. Increase the range of the pepperbox slightly.

-edit-

sorry, your suggestion on wild hunting blade is good. special swords have half normal/half special damage so they aren't OP.

I changed up the suggestions

I changed up the suggestions a bit based on comments. Well, Cobalt and CIV suggestions got a complete remodel, but all the other changes were minor.

I stand by Cobalt needing some sort of buff, after all the weapons stand up to the "jack of all trades, master of none" thing the set is supposed to be, but the armor is just a Skolver knockoff with a tiny bit more Normal defense in exchange for no status resist and no bonuses

@Katmint

A overall CTR buff on the cobalt line would make the Chaos CTR buff obsolete. Perhaps a few minor status resists would help, such as a fire, shock and freeze.

Remove knockback from CIV? Since the CIV is just a modification of the Leviathan Blade, this would not make sense.

Nope if they apply her Chaos set changes too. Cobalt with low ctr vs Chaos with 2 mediums and a low super-bonus-combo.

Please do not remove the

Please do not remove the charge attack's knockback on the volcanic pepperbox! Do any of you even own a volcanic pepperbox?

I even made a video about this! WHY should you remove the knockback on the v. pepperbox? Explain this to me. It hindors the damage a bit, but it makes the weapon able to do more.

Cobalt should have some special defense

I agree that the current cobalt line doesn't work as the jack of all trades, master of none armor. But, to make it a true jack of all trades, you would have to have it block normal damage in T1, then give it some shadow, elemental, and piercing defense in T2 and T3. (note, it doesn't have to have high shadow, elemental, and piercing defense, but it has to be high enough to be viable in most levels.) Such a change may make the cobalt a bit overpowered.

And besides, I would rather see the platemail go in that direction (if it's not too gamebreaking.)

Some more replies, but first

Some more replies, but first a quick note: I forgot to say that I own every weapon I suggested changes to with the exception of a few bombs, but everyone and their snipe knows what is wrong with said bombs anyway. :P

@Twiddle

CTR is useful with all weapon types and also complements the Leviathan and Nitronome really well so I thought that might help the "all around" thing.

@Fehzor

Any of you? The only one here who mentioned the knockback was me, and yes, I do own a volcanic pepperbox. I personally don't care much for the knockback. It's fine if you like it, it's not like my suggestion alone is going to make OOO change it, especially if there's opposition.

@Hexzyle

CIV already has much less knockback power than the Levi and has next to no knockback at all against big enemies. Try using a Levi charge against a Lumber, it will get hit once, fly across the room, and smack your teammate. Using a CIV charge, it gets hit 4 times and barely budges. I think it would be lovely if the CIV behaved that way against all monsters as it makes up for the overall damage loss and also gives people a good reason to craft it if they already have Leviathan.
