Hi guys. I've been looking around but I haven't seen anyone shield bumping in-game or on any youtube vids I've been running through.
It makes me wonder if anyone actually does this.
So do you shield bump regularly? If so, could you point me to a nice vid or something of it in action?

Shieldbumping is used to position enemies. For example, pushing enemies into or away from things. Most of the time, shield bumping is used to create some breathing space, in case you get swarmed.
I use it pretty often. Handy for speedruns when you just need the mobs to get the hell out of your face.
P.S. I like the username.
Another way to use it is to bump away enemies before they attack, having them miss their attack, e.g. Mecha knight/Phantom sword charge attacks, Slime tackle, Gremlin Thwacker, etc. Works awesomely if you have lag. For shield-bumping, try to shield earlier, it'll help alot.(esp. with lag)
I use it all the time. Especially with zombies and the totems. Rather than carrying the totems around or waiting for the zombies, I shield bump them out of the radius so I can attack and kill them. As others said, you can also shield bump attacking monsters so they miss their swipe.
To shield bump, just walk up to a monster and activate your shield. It is more effective to do it that way then it is to walk into a monster with your shield previously up.
I sometime use shieldbumping when a bunch of enimes come at me and I get stuck and use them to pushing the enime

While I commend you for posting your own experiences and thoughts in the new recruits section, many of such threads you commented on were sinking. That isn't to say your thoughts are unhelpful, but the 4 threads up top were all resolved. And some of them were several days old. Please keep such things in mind, especially the dates of last posts.
videos on youtube are mostly weapon demonstrations and boss fights where shield bump is irrelevant.
