What if - We had a crown multiplyier????

Hello All!

First of all, I want to clear this up, I am female. Mmmkay, now that's out the way.

A crown multiplier, yes one that you get for not getting hit by a monster at all, I mean at very least it should go all the way to like, say 5X.

but , if you take damage it goes back down to 0.

Or another thought would be to buy one, Like the Heat amplifier? to make it fair it would only boost your crowns by 10%.

Too easy to do if you're good with a gun/bomb combo. Nitronome/Shivermist AP/Sentenza, or simply Nitronome + Valiance Combo. I could beat entire rooms with those 2 combos without a scratch easily.

Now, while you can say "that's you, not everyone can do that" I'm simply saying I know plenty of people who can, more then cant.

Perhaps, instead of it being a "Not get hit" based, it can be based on "Combo" which is how many hits you can do, and within a certain time limit it goes back down to zero.

True, the cutter would combo like a god, so would the blitz, but in reality you got this problem.
A.) The cutter can only really hit 1-2 monsters, while a great sword can hit an entire room if done right.
B.) Charge attacks will take long enough to lose the combo, most likely.

Buyable multipliers are an illusion or unnecesary.

1. You get more money, but a what price? maybe you end up actually losing unless you play 24h a day. Else....

2. If they give enough boost/time to make them worthy and pay themselves, sooner or later everyone will be using them. Instead of fidling with 'new' features and items, just directly increase the payout of each levels slightly and it will have the same effect :p

BUT if they cost enough energy, they may work as sinks (not needed and may hurt economy...for now). Or could be implemented as pay with credit card only, just like elevator passes.

I'm personally not for a combo system; simply because I don't think combos reflect how well you play, particularly for support roles such as status bombers or some gunners (Callahan, for instance).

Likewise it's not particularly justified to give players more crowns on the basis that they "play better", which is untrue, as you yourself dismissed. This only skews the game more in favor of fast weapon users, or incentivizes charging into the fray with a big sword/gun that goes boom, which is often a very unwise tactic.

@Demonicsothe:
If anything, the combo should boost items with negligible monetary value, such as heat. I won't mind a combo to heat; not so much towards crowns though.

You'd get 5x 100% of the time if you used guns/bombs, or used a fast/semi-fast sword and knew how to shield.

I find it unnecessary to "pump more crowns into the game".

As Kentard said, if you were rewarded by something without monetary value, like heat, then I wouldn't mind...but no to crowns.

Abuse alert!

Make a party
invite 3 alts
Punch through whole level and enemies with main keeping alts at safe spot
???
Profit (4x level profit + 3x boost profit from alts)

And as with all not very smart ideas, means to prevent such abuses would only hurt innocent players and make game annoying for them.
