do biohazard charge shot stick and ignite to darkfang thwackers if you shoot the shield on their back and if there are some charges orbiting them does a normal shot ignite them if it hits the shield
do biohazard charge shot stick and ignite
Charges will detonate if they are within the range of other charges. This means detonating charges on one target can detonate charges on other targets. This can be helpful when facing groups. You don't have to stress over stacking all of your charges on a single target if you can cause a chain reaction.
Darkfang Thwackers are very aggressive and has good mobility. If you want to hit them with a Biohazard, do not chase them because Biohazard bullets will miss too much. Instead, get them to chase you. Fire off a warning shot to trigger their dodge. Sometime this will hit and sometimes it won't depending on which direction they dodge. After dodging, there is a cooldown before they can dodge again. This is your opportunity to either shoot a charged shot or unload your clip at them. There aggressive nature will cause them to run into your attacks without being blocked by the shield.
Uh, since when did charges on one enemy detonate charges on another enemy?
The only way to detonate charges is to shoot the enemy that they're orbiting with a normal shot.
the thwacker's shields are a bit wonky as it stands right now. i've had charged shots stick from behind them. as well as hit them with normal shots from the biohazard from behind.
@Seiran: It's always worked this way. I've done it myself on two Scuttlebots.
Could this not be a mechanic of the splash hitbox that all guns possess? As in, your normal shot hit both scuttle/enemy/orb, and this activating the charges shots that were on different enemies?
The wiki, whoever wrote the descriptions, was not clear on whether the normal shots activate the orbs upon contact, or just in proximity. Nowhere does it say that exploding charges would have activated a chain-styled explosion. And it seemed like something that would have been added, if true.
I'll go take a look at Tsubasa's neutralyzer video in a bit, and see if her mobs had a chain explosion from just one normal shot.
In ATH to the left where there's a vial testing area, stick cata charges on one end of the shufflebot lines, and then to till the other end, fire from one end, and (by memory) it chain explodes. Gonna test this.
EDIT: OK, It doesn't technically chain explode, BUT if the orbiting charges are within the range of another explosion they WILL detonate as well. Thus it's possible to set chain reactions with high numbers of orbs.
yes but the catch is that the orbs do expire over time.
And that's why you don't stand around trying to plant 50 charges on one mob. You have more than enough time to plant and detonate several charges before they expire.
No, Catalyzer line charges will not stick to a shielding opponent.
No, the bullet itself needs to hit the charged target directly to detonate.
