My high school is planning on having every student watch Kony 2012 with their history class. This is accompanied by a catalogue to buy things from Invisible Children. Now, I've already stated my opinion on the video on the thread "Kony 2012". I got frustrated because my school is endorsing the video head-on. First they made an Invisible Children group. Next they had people from the actual company come to our lunches and run a booth. Now the video will soon be watched by all of us. It's good for people to see the video, but is this necessary? I, again if you see the other thread, don't think that the video depicts correct information and there's too many negatives than positives regarding it.
Should the high school be presenting the video to its students?
Note: It's not a done deal yet, but they're hinting at showing the video.
If they do, somebody has to provide commentary for it in order to put things in perspective.
