Ok when we deposit our minerals we are given crowns, it could be better but at least its payment. What if that cr was changed to ce? After all its always saying that these thing "go towards energy" so we should get some energy back this would stop people begging for energy and make it a little easier for players.

Good idea

But it would have to be a pretty small amount of CE.
Just the other day i had stored up about 300 of each mineral type, so that would of been a total of 1500 minerals.
Say if every 50 minerals you sold gave you 1 CE, I would of earned 30 CE. Doesn't sound too bad.
100 minerals sold for 1 CE? I would of earned 15 CE.... meh.
I guess the only problem would be trying to balance it.

Why dont you just spend the crowns you get with that to buy energy from other players? SKippig that stepcan cause problems.

Energy prices are dynamic, constantly changing. A flat predefined rate here will clash with the market.

What Juances said.

Crowns are static, things just change in price in relation to crowns, which is why they seem to depreciate/appreciate.

CE is never the same.

In my opinion

There is no static currency except for real world money in SK. CE and CR are both created and destroyed, and each has its own fluctuating supply.

The developers will never do this, even though it would benefit the game a lot more than you'd think.

New players playing only on mist would get the idea that they'd "farm CE slowly" through minerals (4-16 per level), and would attempt to collect enough of them to make their gear with entirely. This would lead to a large amount of CE being added in (both through new players staying more often and from all players buying energy with minerals), which would make the price of CE go down, and would likely help OOOs profits a bit in the long run.

The downside?

OOO would lose its monopoly over energy. OOO needs and abuses said monopoly quite a bit to get money. Without it, they'd have to make more levels P2P and wouldn't be able to do as much content making in general.
