Okay so, we need another cutter line. Another status would be nice too! And hey, it even matches the Fang of Vog!

Anyways, lets keep going.

These swords will function just like the Vile Striker, and Dread Venom. They'd cause freeze instead though.

Here's some descriptions for em.

Cyro Striker; A cutter upgraded to deal a chilling nip to your foes.

Frigid Fang; A cutter so elegant and frosty it is said to resemble a blizzard when in use.

Hm...

This is kind of cool, I guess (no pun intended, I swear). I think the only potential problem I see with it is that it might outclass the Dread Venom Striker because the freeze would have the ability to lock enemies in place. This is especially useful for Cutter-style charge attacks. On the other hand, I could see freeze maybe getting in the way of a regular combo attack, since it's quite mobile. I don't use DVS, so I don't know how often poison is applied on that sword, but I suppose as long as this sword's freeze is balanced right, there aren't really any issues with it.

Cutters hit twice a swing and

Cutters hit twice a swing and because of this they would most likely be broken out right after they're frozen.
Maybe if the phantom swing was removed and the attack was buffed a bit?

See, what I wasn't sure of is whether the ghost strikes would have the chance to deal freeze, because I don't know if the ghost strikes on DVS can deal poison. It was my assumption that they would have the same mechanics but with a different status. Your suggestion seems to solve the problem, but a ghost-strike-free sword might feel weird to existing Cutter users.

Or the freeze could be

Or the freeze could be applied by the phantom swing, so that anyone who wants to shield cancel can still get away with freezin' their enemies.

What if you freeze in the middle of a combo? What are the actual chances it will be frozen with final swing?
You need mad reflexes to stop at the right moment instead of accidentaly pulling out another swing with such fast weapon.

Also, Fang Vog is actually weaker and slower compared to other regular swords. If it wasnt for the cool charge no one would use it. Just saying.
