"I can't believe that I actually are in Skylark! This is so exciting brother!" I shout as I look outside the window. Flagship of Spiral Order, Skylark, is really something. Since the day I joined the knights I jave dreamed about getting into it and fly to our next destination.
"For the last time, stop calling me your brother! And it isn't that special, just huge metallic plane with motor and sturdy armoring. You could stop being excited from it already!" Male knight behind me shouted. I turn around and show him my tongue.
I am Kite, soldier of spiral order who is not very strong... But people say that my energy pays back the lack of power. The male knight is my close friend who I call my brother even though he says he dislikes it. His name is Mikuel, but everyone keeps calling him Mik. He is nature lover and treehugger in his worst but he always tries to keep his promises and has kind heart, even though he keeps trying to act though. We are on our way to at least my first mission on scouting this new planet we noticed. Most of knights back home wondered how newcomers like me got on the boat. Well, I am fast learner, so that could be one reason. But real reason is probably the fact this is going to be just field training to us, as we have alpha squad with us. And then, we are in strongest ship order has, so what could go wrong? Well, multiple things at least.
As soon we were close to this new planet named Cradle, something went wrong with the engine. It happened in few seconds and the situation was extremely chaotic. First we heard big explosion and then ship started shaking violently. Radio said that everything was undercontrol for while, but then it claimed that the Cradle was pulling us in and we were going to crash. Everyone rushed to rescue pods and as I made to them with my brother, only single man ones were left. He grapped my shoulders and pushed me into one. Before slamming the door close he stared at me and said :"We wil both survive, no worries." Then he closed the door before I could say anythibg and launched the pod. I let out scream as I saw explosion in pod chamber but then calmed down. He had promised we would both survive... So we would. As my pod reached atmosphere, I passed out from the pressure...
"These pods are from Skylark? I swear last of those were found month ago!"
"Well we were proved wrong... These are from Skylark but I am not sure if anyone could still be alive in there."
Those voices... They seem familiar. Even though I feel like sleeping more, I forve my eyes open. Status and radar screens appear into my visor and I focus my eyes. I am still in my pod and the door is front of me. Window below me is broken and I can see multiple dents around it. Wait, only window in pod is at top of door, so if it is below me, does it mean I am upside down? Knocking sound breaks flow of my thoughs.
"Hey, is anyone in there?"
"Yeah... Bit confused and sleepy but still alive."
"We have a survivor here! Her pod seems to be upside down and I can't reach door handle from here."
"Just tell her to open it from inside with the emergency tool."
"Okay lady, there should be gun at its roof, can you find it?"
Hearing this I nod to myself and move my hands around below my head. Soon I found something that seemed like handle.
"I think I found it" I say and pull it out from its holster.
"Okay, place it against the door."
"mhm"
"Pull the trigger..."
"Okay.."
"And prepare to be punched"
"Wha-OUCH!"
I had followed the instruction closely and shot at the door. Two effects were clear. Firstly, the door
had flown off from its place and secondly the gun had kicked so bad it had slipped out my hand and hit my gut. As I rubbed the spot I had got hit, knight outside the pod leaned forward and streched his hand towards me, trying to help me out. Taking his help I was soon outside, first time since the crash.
"Well, every survivor is lucky find here."
Okay... lots of grammer errors, bunch of sentences don't make sense, but overall pretty good. I'm gonna assume English isn't your first language.
