Heyas, Nubskills here! Just needing a few bunches of assorted advice. Hope you can help me out!

How do you deal with lag in LD? Recon capping? Guardian defending through dodge/shield? Or is there some way to deal with the lag and fight players? I noticed that with heavy lag, the best class to play as for me would be Recon, with less instant hits from enemies. Second best as Guardian, and it's awfully hard to dodge with Striker, taking damage even after dodging out of range. On that note, should I go swordie, gunner or bomber in LD? i notice players ignoring bullets in LD as they pass through them, the same going for swords, my shield, etc.

How does shield cancelling for guns work? I've run a few tests, and the only times where there seemed to be a visible reduction in delays is when I'm switching weapons from a gun in midshoot(faster switching), or when I'm using guns of the Magnus and Autogun line(shorter movement penalty). I've tried with a variety of other guns

I heard that the FF is slightly faster than BTB, is this true? And if it is, is the difference by approximately ASI Low, or higher/lower than that?

How much could a Spur CTR Very High be sold for? I'm not familiar with UV prices at all :(. I kinda got one sitting in my inventory, not sure to keep it or not lol

Should I get a Blitz Needle for FSC? Seeing how I'm about to build my gunner set soon, would Blitz be viable for gunners? How does it work against Greavers? I was thinking that the shots could interrupt greaver packs, perhaps?

Would the Cold Iron Vanquisher charge attack hit normal/heavy enemies more than once? Would three times per charge be possible on non-stationary targets?

Lots of questions here, most of these have been brooding on my mind for a while, never really got down to asking them. Kinda bit too much, isn't it? :'(

a couple of responses

"I heard that the FF is slightly faster than BTB, is this true? And if it is, is the difference by approximately ASI Low, or higher/lower than that?"

These data suggest that the number of combos per minute is identical between the two. Of course, there are other ways to measure speed. But I have not been able to perceive any difference between them.

"Should I get a Blitz Needle for FSC? Seeing how I'm about to build my gunner set soon, would Blitz be viable for gunners? How does it work against Greavers? I was thinking that the shots could interrupt greaver packs, perhaps?"

There is a thread about "the best gun for Vanaduke" right now in the Arsenal forum. While Vanaduke is not all of FSC, it's probably the hardest part, so the part you should focus on.

Your thread might be more manageable if you didn't ask so many disparate questions at once. For example, split the arsenal-style questions into a thread in the Arsenal forum.

Ah, thanks for that Bopp. Yeah, the question flooding wasn't really what I intended, but i kinda didn't want to flood the forum with posts. I didn't mean for people to answer all of the questions at once either, one to a few would still be great lol

Spam first slash hits a point

Spam first slash hits a point to flush recons out. Spam first slashes on a guardian while dancing around him.

Swordie is the easiest to get used to in ld, if you play with swords in pve. Gunner, with your latency, would be hard to play well. No pure bomber in ld does excellent. If you want to bomb, you'll need a haze bomb like voltaic tempest and stagger storm.

Shield canceling for guns is more of a replace the up and down movement of the gun with shielding animation. If you shield too long, you lose the advantage. The best usage of shield canceling on guns is a brief pop of the shield, and let go. The gun itself has a timer in which if it is shot, it counts as the same clip. So you'll still need to get used to that time frame. Even if you shield cancel, combos/clips are not reset like swords. Basically, shield cancel to stop animation, then know when to fire to avoid reload.

Blitz is fine for fsc, make sure you have a shiv/kiting weapon to avoid being left with a weapon you don't know how to manage yet.

I use my blitz on devilites, since those are not as fast and is easier to manage. Greavers on the other hand, I have to play very safe. Unless they really are coming in a straight line, they have a tendency to carry themselves behind you. And being flyng creatures, sometimes teir hitboxes are off. I try to snipe them with my calla, and never try to fight more than 3 at once in my gunning loadout.

From what I asked a guildy awhile back, a civ can land 3 hits easier than a levi. But there's the angle involved with where the 3 hits are coming from. It isn't just a spin that hits 3 tims everywhere.

Oh, I see. I guess I'll stick with my LD loadout then. Hmm, would it work if i were to spam Blitz charges close range like a sword? I'm assuming that Blitz can still work for gunners then? Calla seems nice too, but I'm thinking of Blitz mainly for FSC and pure dps as well. Thanks, I'll run a few tests on gun cancelling then lol

Are we still talking about

Are we still talking about blitz on fiends? If you can get a group of devilites in one spot, go for it. Greavers are still iffy. They attack very fast in T3, and if you aren't used to it, you'll be smacked hard.

In fsc, you can just bait a zombie attack and shoot as they are attacking. Autoaim could help, but most people shoot into a crowd to maximize damage.

Ah, so it works for devilites? i've tried kiting with a DTB and releasing its charge mid-circle-kite around devilites, but office supplies still hit sometimes. I'm kinda concerned about the stationary penalty, and how it'll fare against devilites and greavers. i guess I'm semi-used to greavers, they're fine as long as I have a toothpick on me, but I'm really unsure about blitz :(
Yeah, I was wondering if you could one-shot them with a point-blank charge, from what I heard about the Volc Pepperbox(blitz charge doesnt do knockback does it?), or at least deal enough damage to finish them off later. Would a blitz charge flinch their attacks? What about a normal shot from a blitz?

Yes it does, although keeping

Yes it does, although keeping some distance and spraying them works better since you can see them, and have time to dodge. I hated using the blitz against greavers. I will live, but it hurts. But then again, my autoaim is never on. That might help since flying enemies have awkward hitboxes at times.

You can one shot almost everything with a point blank blitz. Anything that doesn't resist piercing should die. I'm not sure how many shots you need to connect in order to interrupt devilites, but in my experience, 3-4 is enough to do it. I have no idea on the normal shots, since it's hard to connect many of those in a set area.

Lol sweet, I should aim for that next then. Charge sounds epic T^T
Do you know approx. how much a Spur CTR VH would fetch? 400-700ce maybe? I'm looking to sell it off, since I plan on getting CTR trinkets in the long run. Not sure if I should keep it either :L
