Would it serve any real purpose? Maybe not. But I really think it would be at least neat if everyone had a Snipe that they could interact with, play with, and just have fun with while in Haven. Be able to give it a name, have it the same color as the player's personal color, have it fly around or sit on the player's head, all for the adorableness of it all.

I mean, come on, who sees those little devils flying around Haven and DOESN'T want to grab it and just rub their faces all over it while making something akin to baby noises?

You want non-combat pets?

You want non-combat pets? Let's make them CE only, too, and you can only buy them from NPCs so that there's another CE sink. We should make it easy for devs. Get rid of the snipe idea altogether, and just make baby blue minus signs that follow us around and make buzzing/zap sounds. I think that would be a popular pet. Who wants one?

I just realized that those pet mechaknights you can spawn for a level have the energy symbol on their heads. And they do follow us making buzzing/zap sounds, and occasionally give players shock hugs.

Just for fun? Sounds great.

I'd like a pet snipe. You could consider making it crown-only though, considering some debates on the non-existance of crown sinks.

But in any case, I think it would be fun, even if it served no actual purpose.
