Ive about fully givin into bringing heart pendants to LD, but I have to make sure of one thing: When the trinket slot upgrade expires, do you still have the trinket? I don't really want to go and use over 1000 ce to make something that's going to go away in just a month... I would really like to beat up a bunch of freaking skolvers with GFs with only my RSS and DVS (almost have DVS, which is Dread Venom Striker) It would be really fun to run around striker with decent health and a very high CTR from mad bomber and Elite Bomb Focus Module...

Just so you know, a fully heated bomb with recon mod is enough ctr. Of course, if you want damage, mad bomber is perfectly fine. But with the bombastic buff, it is a more viable piece, simply because it has no weakness and a total of vh damage with just the set alone. This allows you to use your heart pendants to the same degree as a mad bomber in lockdown.

I thought I posted this, but ever since I watched that YouTube vid with a striker bomber I wanted to be able to bomb like that.
Yes I knew that fully heated weapons give a med CTR, as that is the reason I will not be bringing 2 bomb focus mods plus mad bomber to LD as striker. A very high CTR is fine with me.

I came back and reread this post. And I might have misread your last post the first time through.
The strike module has a ctr penalty. A vh penalty, I think? So unless you use full mad/volcanic and a ctr trink with a fully heated bomb, you won't have vh ctr on that bomb.
I'm not sure what strike bomber video you are talking about. But if I may, I want to caution you against it. The ctr penalty means your bombs will be slower than other bombers. And being a bomber, you spend most of your time charging. So, the speed bonus of being a strike is thus limited to traveling between points and base.
During fights, the strike speed will not help. While shielding, you cannot charge. And the health penalty would be bad and cut into your penta's health.
Of course, if you simply want to do this for the enjoyment, no one is stopping you.

Are you sure you aren't looking at the overall effect on a heated bomb?
According to the wiki text & image, striker gives a charge time increase very high. Combine that with a CTR Med from a level 10 bomb and you have charge time increase medium.

If I play T3 LD I play as a striker bomber and I luv it. I have the full mad bomber set a ctr trinket and a penta heart trinket, this makes for a ctr vh and a good loadout as a striker bomber. I normally run 3 bombs and a sword for defense when I'm being chased. I tried playing as a recon and just got pewned all the time. I like the striker because of the mobility. If you have the RSS or ISB it's fun to place next to a guardian and then zip away and repeat.
