Where are the recipes for the sanctuary alchemy machine obtained? They aren't in the Hall of Heroes with five star certification. Is it just Basil at level 23 that you get them? Or do you not need a recipe at all? The wiki doesn't say any source.
Sanctuary alchemy machine recipes?
"The wiki doesn't say any source."
If you actually read the wiki and use commons ense, the answer is there :p More than once. It even has a youtube video link as 'source' if you still dont believe it.

You can craft items at the sanctuary alchemy station as long as you have the 5000 crowns, 800 energy, and mats needed for the item.
No recipe is required (they dont even exist). Just click and craft.
"You dont have to buy any recipe to craft,"
Thanks. That's what I was looking for. So it sounds like I could buy a nightmare mane off the auction house, do the Snarbolax shadow lair once, and come out with a full Snarbolax set without needing to pay 50k for recipes. Well, after I finish leveling my third ash tail set and pick up a few other materials, that is.

If it is, then you're certainly having a hard time finding it, too. None of the links you give say that you don't need a recipe.
When I played this game several months ago, everything that was craftable required you to buy a recipe, usually at Basil, though you could also buy a recipe off the auction house that someone else bought at Basil. It's quite a leap from "the wiki doesn't give a recipe location" to "you don't need a recipe". The former could be a simple omission--and indeed, if you don't already know the answer, common sense would point more in that direction than the "you don't need a recipe" direction. For example, there are a lot of weapons for which the wiki doesn't give a damage table, but that doesn't mean that the weapon doesn't deal any damage.

Yes, this is very common. People pre-buy the special shadow materials, so that they can craft more than one item in a single visit to the Sanctuary.
I agree that the rules for crafting are made more confusing, by the fact that some items need recipes and some don't, some recipes can be traded and some can't, etc. The rules of the game are kind of a mess at this point.
Sanctuary Alchemy Machine works the same way as Krogmo Alchemy Machine - you don't need recipe to craft all those trinkets.
The same apply to Vise's Alchemy Machine (known as Vise's Anvil) - you don't need recipe for the masks.
So far we have:
- 1. Regular Alchemy Machines, where you craft regular items with recipes you've learnt.
- 2. Special Alchemy Machines, where you can craft only predefined items with recipes included within machine. These are:
- 2.1. Krogmo Alchemy Machine
- 2.2. Sanctuary Alchemy Machine
- 2.3. Vise's Alchemy Machine, also known as Vise's Anvil
yes but take in account that you also need to pay for the key to unlock said SL (if you never done a SL before you need to start with GWW)
also you need the previous armor to craft the new one (ash tail for snarbolax, Heavy Demo Suit for Mercurial Demo, Rock Jelly Mail for ice queen mail and so on) and you can craft any of the armors in any of the SL alchemy machines (if you have said SL mats that is)
so you actualy pay the run instead of the recipe :) (and you need to run it again if you want to craft a new one)
If you split costs of the key, each player pays a rough equivalent of a 5* recipe.
Considering you can craft more than 1 thing if you bring the mats, it's a decent trade-off.
Also the SL mats are stupidly expensive at times. Recently they have almost tripled in price (Except Celestial Ore lulz). You can get like 60k off Gremlonium now :D.
The Sanctuary Alchemy Machine is a lot like the Krogmo one in the Arcade. The things you craft with it can only be crafted at that particular alchemy machine, and recipes for said equipment cannot be found elsewhere. You dont have to buy any recipe to craft, for example, a Snarbolax set. Just get to the Sanctuary Alchemy Machine with all the mats and ce/cr needed to craft.
