The Tortodrone in a mysterious creature. I assume Iamnoone is joking about barbequeing them as they would taste horrendous. When the Skylark first crashed and we became stranded on Cradle, our dwelling into the depths of Clockworks reveled these strange bipedal creations. Many brave knights assumed they were part of the Gremlin's arsenal of creatures meant to destroy us and get us off Cradle. However, for our own survival, we must continue on to the Core. The Tortodrones would not attack either Knight nor Gremlin unless provoked. However, because of their valuable shell, they were hunted by both factions. Because of the quick arrival of the knights, this caused a Tortodrone war between the two groups. Each trying the slaughter as many as possible to collect their precious shells. Well, the tortodrones realized what was happening. Don't get me wrong, they may be large in stature and slow in gait; however, they possess extremely advantaged neurological abilities. Even the Strangers aren't exactly sure where the Tortodrones came from. Maybe believe they are a completely different race that crashed onto Cradle hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago. Given the time they had before even Strangers or Gremlines appeared on the planet, they have created their own paths throughout the inner planet that rivals that of the great Gremlin inner causeways.

When Warmaster Seerus took over the Gremlin Arsenal, this caused great concern among the Tortodrones. In fact, it led them to help the Knights defeat the Warmaster (while remaining in the background and staying neutral). Their greatest asset currently is the element of surprise. Both the Gremlins and the Knights believe them to be either completely wiped out or just having greatly dimensioned numbers; however, that is far from the truth. They are sitting and waiting in secret. The arrival of the Knights has changed their plans completely. They were about to rebel against the Gremlins to take back Cradle. Now they are want to see which side ends up becoming stronger between the two. Maybe they will side with the stronger group, or even decide to destroy both. Regardless, we don't know when the Tortodrones will strike; however, when they do, it will be harsh and it will come SOON...
