So, the other night I am just trying to run through the Prestige Mission solo real quick so I can go to bed. I sick, my stomach hurts, and my head has been ready to explode for the last 6 hours of my 12 hour work day...

I'm running through smashing bots with my Warmaster's Rocket Hammer & chopping up the occasional mender with my Acheron. My other weapons are an AP (mostly for box breaking) and the 2* Stable Rocket Hammer I am heating up for T2 PvP. Things are going just fine in this Construct/Fire map. I'm only carrying a BTS, but that doesn't matter as I've only used it for bumping so far...

Then I enter into the little mini-boss smash the big machine fight and find my self surrounded by Devilites and Firebrander Overtimers complete with Pit Bosses and Yesmen. This went very poorly. The Rocket Hammer is great for slow targets where you have time to really take advantage of the dash attack. Its basically worthless when stopping forward momentum is a death sentence. The BTS can't soak much damage from T3 Fire-devils either. AP is pretty much worthless here, running around in circles against dodgy enemies. Add to all of this that the little buggers just keep multiplying the whole time. Ended up deciding that the Acheron was my best bet despite the grey numbers.

I guess this thread doesn't have much point other then to vent and say, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh [**********************Censored************************]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Be warned. Pack gear for all enemy types when you do the last map of Assault on Machine Shop 13... I'll pack my BTB next time even if it means going gunless. Come to think of it I believe I have had Slimes for Shop 13 fight before, but that's nice and easy. I'm not mad. I think its interesting to have curve balls like this thrown. Its just that it caught me totally flat-footed this time...

TLDNR: Pack all 3 damage types for Assault on Machine Shop 13

Wait, isn't it a construct level?

Could this be a bug?

It is construct

I think a few people had this bug. I did this mission and did not get the Devilites though, so not entirely sure.

It's not really a bug since

It's not really a bug since battle pods can be one of many types, but it may be a bit of a design oversight.

One thing that happened to me

One thing that happened to me is that the battlepod was just on a center island, with no way to actually reach it. Luckily, I typically run my Gunslinger set since realistically, it's a lot more fun to use. Had I not used my Blitz, I'm not sure how long it would've taken to kill.

That being said, I really hope they do things like that in the future, where missions will begin requiring more teamwork like that.

Wall-to-wall satainc carpeting

I should have taken a screenshot, but I was too busy running away and being miserable. There were tons though. They never stopped spawning. They were like a carpet; wall to wall little red [cencored]s (with barely enough room to keep running in circles trying in vain to thin them out with my bloody Shadow sword).

I think what was happening was the spawners would check for the basic devilites, see there were none and spawn some, then the pit bosses would come in and upgrade them, repeat.
