Backing up Items and Achievements for TF2 and SK

I'd like to know how to backup my TF2 and Spiral Knights items and achievements so I don't lose them. Just so you know I do have Steam Cloud enabled. I want to make sure that if I remove the game and re-download for troubleshooting purposes, I won't lose any progress or items. Especially those items that were purchased.

Do I even need to backup anything or are all these things contained on the TF2 and SK server databases?.

Here's a helpful anecdote.

Here's a helpful anecdote.

I don't play on Steam. In fact, I frequently install the game client fresh every day. However, every time I log in, my data is there waiting for me. Spiral HQ sends the data to your computer when you log in; very little player info is stored client-side.

I'm not 100% sure it works like that for Steam users, but I don't see why it should be any different.

TL;DR: I don't think you need to back up your data at all, or if there's any way you can.

You don't have to back up your data, SK does it all for you. Don't worry about it.

I don't play TF2, but yeah, this isn't the first MMO I've played and I seriously doubt that TF2 would have such a flaw.
When you're playing MMO's, you don't really have to back up.

Any game with a purely online component that tries to lock out cheating (i.e, an MMO) stores all character data/achievements/etc on their side. Your computer never has the data on your character, only what is sent from the server. As such, you don't need to back up anything ever. You just need to remember your account name and password.

I'm not sure if this is

I'm not sure if this is further proof, but now and then when you play TF2 the item server won't connect, which means you cannot access any of the non-standard weapons you may have, so at least that info is on their end.
