It's completely flooded. Tons of sellers and few buyers, save for a few extremely popular items (Vog set, D Avenger, Gran Faust, etc., and even some of those it takes a while to sell just at cost).

You have to move mountains to sell any other 5 stars, unless they have a good UV or are really cheap.

I see people wanting 3.5-4.5k for random, uncommon 5 stars... it's just not gonna happen anymore, despite what it costs to make one in time and money.

The materials market is a joke as well. Completely flooded...

People are going to soon

People are going to soon realize that nobody is gonna buy their non-Vog/DA/Faust/Owl 5 stars for more than like 2-3k, if that. I bought a Leviathan for 60k crowns the other day. People are desperate because nobody is buying save for a handful of items. It sucks...

The good items sell because

The good items sell because the good items are good? If an item has limited or no use, it's going to drop in value because less people will want to pay for it. Unless new uses are found for old items, which is definitely possible and depends on what item people want and what items people make popular, then the less used items are going to fall in price, regardless of material cost.

DeckardCain, your post seems to be saying that you're disappointed that the market being moved by the invisible hand. Make a publicity video, showing people how you can solo Vanaduke with less commonly used gear. Then sell that gear. Then profit.

Vog/DA/Faust/Owl aren't the

Vog/DA/Faust/Owl aren't the only good items in the game, dude. They're popular and cookie cutter and people follow whatever tends to be hot at the time. Vog set also has the most striking appearance.

Leviathan is a good example. It's one of the best overall swords in the game, if not THE best... does the most consistent damage, but it's not DA/Faust-level popular. Doesn't mean it's not good.

A few of the 5 star bombs (and in turn, the demo armor/helm for them) are another good example.

Item popularity and nerfage

Leviathan is one of the more balanced blades and easier to access. Grinding Jelly King runs ad nauseam is going to enamor many to their new DA despite efforts to balance (aka: NERF) the blade by developers. Personally, I love the stylish look of CIV, DA, and Win; love the pack of wolvers that come with Wild Hunting Blade; love the way Lev handles; love the wicked look of Dread Vile Striker.

I also have different types of armor to handle assorted situations in addition to costume armor.

I do have people wanting normals because they can't afford UVs which I think I am selling cheaply. The economy and demographics of the player base is such that some people may get disappointed if I don't sell something at a loss. Some of the UVs I raise are sold before I even get a chance to put it up for sale on the forum. Repeat customers will send me tells asking if I have anything cool they might want as soon as I login. I will refer to other crafters if I don't carry something they want ASAP. The game is expanding so fast with new and veteran players that I am glad there is competition so I can bind an item for personal use once it reaches 5 stars for a change.

Say so the guy who wanted to buy a gran faust for 3.5k ce.

Anyway, this should be in the general discussion and not the bazaar.

I wouldn't do that deal now.

I wouldn't do that deal now. Worth 3k max, imo.
