Menu topics popping up during battle.
This is becoming a very negative issue for me.
If I'm in a heavy battle, my mouse is all over the place as I try and maneuver and out-maneuver the monsters. What inevitably happens is that I click on either the menu icons at the top or the horrible energy exchange at the bottom right of the screen.
That puts my characters into a complete stun while I try and close the window that has popped up. And once I managed to accidentally trade 100 energy for crowns in the middle of a battle.
There is no reason to have these mouse-clickable items available when in the clockworks. Can they be put behind an F key, or be disabled? I'm ticked off enough at having half my health depleated because the game is asking me if I want to change my screen resolution.
what happens to me is that i usually click outside the screen >_<, and it lags to go back to the game screen. I'm almost thinking in playing at fullscreen, but it is almost not a possibility, because it will lag as hell if i do so.
Cien playing full-screen doesn't make you lag more if you don't change your resolution? I think it even reduces lag if you're using windows vista or 7 and have things like aero enabled. I've noticed they suck graphical memory when you don't play full-screen.
and hate with all my heart vista, and still don't have an oppinion formed about 7, though most people are talking good about it. Also...i don't have the slightest idea what aero is, it is somtehing that we eat? *¬*
and, to finish some things up, i can't play in full screen because my computer lags a lot in the passage, and still, i'm having some issues in not seeing the mouse while paying (it disapears while in the playing screen), and i use the outgame area to find myself. Aand, the most important thing of all: my dad, the owner of this computer, and of the connection, don't like games in the computer, and think that games mess with the system configurations and help peopl to put viruses in the computer. This all began because a game that needed to run in a diferent screen configuration (pretty old, by the way), and in full screen, and thus, it automatically changed the screen size...now he is psichotic about these things...this is tha main problem about the full screen...but i hope to fix it till the final of this year at most january 2011.
I'm running XP as well, and while it does change the resolution to run, it reverts it back when the game quits, like a lot of web game interfaces.
I'd like to know if anyone on the developer side agrees that this is an issue which needs to be fixed. It's a fun game, but this problem renders it unplayable in heavy battle, and that's a dealbreaker for me.

There are certainly benefits to being able to access menu items- for example, a player who is low on energy would definitely want the ability to buy more off the exchange while in the clockworks.
But I do agree that it's currently too easy to do so while in battle. Perhaps most menus could be locked anywhere outside the elevator rooms? Since these are nominally "safe" zones, this would provide access without hindering fighting.
In the same vein as this thread: in addition to pulling up menus during battle, I also occasionally lose sight of part of the screen when my weapons (or dropped items) suddenly begin displaying Really Big Tooltips. Needless to say, this almost always happens at critical times, and when my mouse hasn't even been resting for very long at all. It's... awkward.
The mouse is only used for facing. How does it even get all the way to the edge of the screen? You don't need to move it so much.
How about aiming your shot? I point it right at the monster to make sure I'm lined up.
Aiming the shot is an excellent example, especially if you're trying to knock off some of those horrible healer gremlins before opening the gate and proceeding onward. And then when the ash wolver teleports to behind you, the response is to whip around and click hard.
Execpt that I end up with a screen asking me if I want to send a tell to another party member while the wolver gnaws on my ankle.
Interface options that stunlock a character are BAD.
Should have put this in the suggestion section, it's true that the current setup is cluttering the screen though.
Need to have a minimize all menus and shift all things to a corner option.
