I didnt really take a picture so there is nothing to prove this

But i did get 17k damage once and thats my highest. I got that with skolver coat and rock jelly helm, Dark Thorn blade, Avenger. So pretty much noob like.
But yeah i dont run after dmg, i do my caps. Highest caps was 19 in a 5 base game. I did take a pic but i dont remember the darn name and now im roaming all around my hard disk for it. If i find it ill post it.

You know...

I think we need like, an overall score based on captures, defends and damage combined. Say, damage is your 'base score' let's say, and captures are worth so-so many points, and defends are worth so-so many points, then you combine the three and get your overall score.

As an example:

Captures = 1,000 pts. each
Defends = 500 pts. each
Damage = 1 pt. each

Report:
Captures: 5
Defends: 3
Damage: 13,878

5,000 pts. + 1,500 pts. + 13,878 pts. = 20,378 pts.

I think a player-forged system like that could put a spin on competitive Lockdown, and pull the focus away from damage-only and make people look for an overall performance rating based on a community approved score-system. Maybe it's just me, but I think that would put a neat spin on things.

And while we're at it, we could do something to the LD leaderboards to make them actually reflect skill instead of how much you've played LD that week (sure, most of the people who are on it are good, but it's still a poor representation of who actually played the *best* that week). With a reworked score system, we could put average values over however many games you've played on the Leaderboard.

I just hate how many people don't recognize that this game is CP, not TDM. So often I see people run off half-capped points making me sit on the point twice as long and usually having to fend off someone in the meantime. Caps really need to have more of an effect on people's minds.

Best way would be to just have it go by overall win percentage after a requisite number of games played. Even though you'll lose some due to stacking, those who have a more positive effect on their team will gravitate toward an overall higher win percentage.

Eh, that's still rather simplistic considering the more games you play, the closer to 50% you'll go since with the game, no matter your skill, still relies on the whole team more. Not to mention that it does nothing to really emphasize caps or defends, which is the main problem we're having. At least with the more in-depth option, everyone would get a different score at the end of the game and we could brag about that instead of just damage. People would be inclined to cap to boost their score the most, and treat the game more like CP.

The problem with your system is that you're arbitrarily assigning a value to each objective under the assumption that X is n-times more helpful to your team than Y. Why should the scoring system emphasize anything at all? If you really want to see who helps their team the most, then win percentage is the only way to do it, as it does not discriminate between tactics. If focusing on caps over defends is more productive, then it will show in your win percentage.

Also I disagree that everyone's win percentage will be at 50%. Only the average player should have a win percentage of 50%. In fact, the more games played, and therefore greater sample size, the more accurately one's effect on win percentage will be fleshed out. The deviance from the mean may not be large, but I do believe there will be clear differences between players of varying ability.
